East vs West All Star Game

I heard that the East won 9-0. Sounded like a tough and physical game. Sounds boring to me haha But I heard Ray and Winston ran tough. Anyone know how they did?

Sounds like our future O-lineman couldn't open some holes

The square is seldom if ever cool ... He is "not with it", that is, he doesn't know "whats happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." And if he can bring himself to approve of what's happening, he becomes "groovy." And after that, with much luck and perseverence, he can rise to the rank of "cool."

EAST LANSING - Incoming freshman Glenn Winston and Caulton Ray did their best impression of Jehuu Caulcrick and Javon Ringer in running for 155 of the East All-Stars 185 yards rushing. The Spartan freshmen carried the East to a 9-0 win in the 28th annual East-West All-Star Game.

Not to me.

Well our future OL Deyo was playing on the West team while Ray and Winston were on the East team. The East team ran the ball 61 times and passed it 9 times. The West team passed the ball 24 times and ran the ball 21 times.

Anyone know why Burrell, Smith of Perry didn't play/weren't selected to the East squad?

From what I read the weather wasn't conducive to throwing the ball, but a player with Smith's ability could easily turn a short pass into a long touchdown. Just having him on the field would have required him receiving special attention that could have helped open up the running lanes for Ray and Winston.

Just a guess but for Smith and Burrell, they probably know they have a good chance of getting playing time. I think Ray and Deyo redshirt, so if they got injured there really wasn't much concern. Maybe Winston redshirts as well but not sure on that.

With Smith and Burrell getting a good shot at playing time, they probably didn't want to risk it and play.

As for Perry he is trying hard to get qualified.
