I believe that MSU has sent recruiters to a couple of his games. He did grow up a SCUM fan, however, he is staying open to all of his options. He is not a corner... more of a safety or even an OLB. But, I wouldn't close the door on RB as he is a legit 4.5 at 210lbs. with very good moves, vision, and exceptional strength. Oh and btw, you CAN be a good student and not do well on big tests...

I would say that by reading the article on Spartanmag MSU has little to no interest in him. Sure some people might say that MSU is waiting for him to be qualified but Howard out of OH isnt qualified either and MSU is still in contact with him there is no contact with Robinson.

If he is a scUM fan and a second or third tier recruit I don't want him and I'm sure doesn't either. If we want to make a move and offer another plan C running back now that Storm is verballed to the U I'm sure there are others that didn't say that the Central win made them happy and have just as much talent.

Are you new to this? =P
A LOT of kids have grown up UM fans, and been offered by both schools, and eventually choose MSU. It's not uncommon at all.

He is getting his ACT score back within 2 weeks and is optimitic about some offers. He claimed that U-M is his dream school and he really likes CMU. He stated that Cincy, MSU, and Indiana also have shown interest in him. However, he said that he hasn't spoken to an MSU staff member since August as his attempts to reach Harlon Barnett have been unsuccessful (apparently too busy with the DBs).

What- no updates? Chris Robinson and Ovid-Elsie High's outstanding football season came to a close on Friday night. The Marauders fell to Millington by a score of 22-21. Robinson had another solid performance. He started out hot as Ovid-Elsie found itself in a 4th down situation early. Robinson broke through the line and outran defenders for a 56 yard TD. Chris followed that up with scoring runs of 5 yards in the 2nd and 65 yards in the 4th.
Robinson finished with 206 yards and 3 scores in defeat. The Marauders were unable to stop Millington's rushing attack after losing 340 pound nose tackle Garrett Chapko. A 4th down pass fell short of the open receiver, ending Ovid-Elsie's chance at victory.
The senior tailback ends the season with 2692 yards (unofficially) and 27 consecutive 100-yard games. His rushing total is about 200 yards short of the single-season state record, which he surely would have broken with another 2 wins.
Regarding his lack of collegiate offers. It is my understanding that Coach Goosen has asked recruiters to hold off until the end of the season, which means offers are sure to follow now that it is finished. Members of the Purdue staff (presumably) were seen at his previous game. I personally have mixed feelings about how his skills translate to the next level. He has great speed at this level of competition. I have not seen him caught by a defensive back this year- angle or not. However, I did not see all of his games. I suspect the 4.5 estimates out there are fairly accurate. Good, but not elite. He has good power for his size, but could stand to add bulk IMO. I'd like to see him around 215. His game is a power/speed mix, but the speed will only go so far on the next level. Big Ten safeties will be able to run him down. He utilizes a spin move frequently on contact. It is his bread and butter move, and he uses it well. The vast majority of his runs start on the interior. He breaks tackles at the linebacker level and then angles toward the sidelines, outrunning the secondary. Most of his long runs look similar in that regard. I'd say he gets 80 or 90 percent of his yardage from runs between the tackles. He also has some stop and go ability and can cut fairly well, but is not an ankle breaker.
I think he will get his shot at a Big10 level school. Whether he will be a stand-out player is less certain. I wish him all the best.

That is not how college coaches work. No way would he be a top guy on a college coaches board and they would hold off until the season is over to go after him. Coaches go after who they want, at this point coaches are starting to look at plan B guys they are not going to just start with a plan A guys just because the coach wanted to wait until the season was over. I understand what you are saying and maybe the coach did tell recruiters to hold off but that is not why he doesnt have offers.
