"Ovid Elsie's Chris Robinson is also gaining national attention and MSU has him in their sights for 2010 as well."
His stats for the season are rather impressive and O-E is still alive in the playoffs. I used to teach at Ovid-Elsie and it's slightly shocking to me that they'd have a national prospect. Interesting.

I've seen the kid MANY times. Not sure if he's BT calibur or not. He is very talented and impressive. I'd like to see his 40 time before making that judgement. Hard to tell given the conference he's in.

His family are die hard scum fans. That does not necessarily mean that he wont consider state seeing how scum sucks right now but it is highly doubtful.

I've been following Robinson this year and he's been incredible, possibly top 5 back this year and probably top back in Mich next year. Not sure where he would fit into MSU's rb stable for the future though with Leggett, Winston, Baker & Caper all in front of him.
Noticed on Rivals he has MSU, UM, ND, OSU, Iowa & Wisc as showing interest. He'd probably have a better chance to play at another school.

Well Leggett will probably move positions or even if he didn't he would be a senior by the time he got here and Winston would be a junior.
Obviously if he wants to play right away another school would be best.
But MSU fans have said that for years and yet still schools still find a way to bring in talent each year.
For MSU to sustain our success that has to happen. We haven't have the momentum we have going into next year fade away.
Iowa was able to put up great recruiting classes once and a while but couldn't capitalize on it.

State semifinal game results in a 55-20 win over #2 ranked Standish-Sterling...332 yards and 5 touchdowns. Oh my, what a talent!

I watched the championship game and he looked good to me, especially considering the O-E offensive line got handled most of the game.
Nice moves, quick through the hole, and good determination to keep his leg's moving and the play alive. It'll be good to see what develops during this next year. If he's not Big 10 caliber, I bet he'll make a MAC team very happy.

I would think he's a MAC-level recruit as an ATH/S/RB and gets a few D1 offers during his senior year.

What a great kid Chris is! This past week it was #4 Ovid-Elsie vs. #5 Saginaw Swan Valley. A record crowd of over 3500 showed up at Ovid-Elsie to watch the game, and Chris Robinson did not disappoint. He rushed for a personal best 348 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 34-31 victory. The marauders are now 5-0 on the season. He is currently in the running for the Metro PCS Michigan football player of the year award. He is up against players such as William Gholston, Dior Mathis, and Max Bullough who are all either MSU verbals or have MSU offers. He is such a great kid yet he seems to be getting unnoticed on the recruiting scene. If you live in the greater Lansing area, you need to check this kid out. He is for real!

I saw the kid play last year, and he looks like he could help as an athlete.

Has this kid played any real competition yet? Saginaw Swan Valley is a TINY school. Saginaw Heritage, Saginaw High, and Saginaw Arthur Hill are the main high schools in Saginaw. Saginaw Swan Valley doesn't even compare.
I am not knocking the kid, but getting excited about running up stats on Swan Valley is like getting excited about beating Appalachian State (or not in some cases).

He has played against 2 star MAC level recruits, and he is a level above those guys.

such an award exists? Not many players are going to come out of D7 or D8, and MSU already got Bullough.
