If this is true, we really really really need Bryant.

What is that well-known saying....
You know, the one Lee Corso says a lot...
I think it has been referenced already in this thread...

So is it safe to assume that his army AA ceremony was uneventful as far as commitments?
Hopefully this weekend visit is to confirm that MSU is where he wants to go. Rather than his visit to make sure Oregon is his pick.

I remember when OSU loaded up on DBs last year, many thought we'd have our pickings this year. Patrick White didn't get an OSU offer but thought he was kind of a sleeper that way, that he was as good as some that did.
Well, this year it hasn't quite worked out that way. I guess part of it is that the general feeling MSU is the next great thing took kind of a beating this year. Regardless, the talent and expectations will come when they come. Most units appear to be in excellent shape in the years to come. The coaches may have to pull a rabbit out of their hats for the final CB.
I guess Mathis and Bryant are still possibilites. Maybe we could prey upon some unsuspecting MAC team for one of their commits like we did with Zack Hueter. I also wonder if guys like Myles White, Chris D. or Bennie Fowler can cross over. Whatever, we are where we are, and that's on an upward spiral.

I think the good news is, UM is the last school in the country that will benefit from kids visiting there Saturday.

This and the fact he is going to the UM/OSU game is not very promising. Why go to both games if he is going to be a spartan? I could be wrong but it seems like he is just doing what so many other kids do: getting everything he can out of his recruiting procces.

Not that it is 100% accurate but his profile on rivals only lists Oregon as High interest and everyone else (including MSU) as low interest. Have fun at Nike U, I wish him the best of luck. Hope we still have a legit shot at Christian Bryant but that doesn't look good either...

There has got to be other CBs that we're recruiting. I can't imagine it is Mathis/Bryant or bust.
And with the lay of our secondary thus far into the season, we could use an upgrade in talent. Mathis would have been nice to have.

MSU has concentrated their CB recruiting efforts on Mathis, Bryant and Johnson. Right now there aren't many other options available.
One name in the background is OH, CB, Seth Cunningham. He attended MSU's summer camp but didn't receive an offer. He eventually gave a verbal to Akron and then said he was going to look at some other schools. He attends the same HS as Delvon Roe. If MSU misses on all 3 of their priority CB recruits they might offer Cunningham late in the process. I think he would commit to MSU very quickly if he gets an offer.
Note : Mathis is probably wasting his time if he visits UM for the OSU game. FL, CB, Rashad Knight is making an official visit for the OSU/UM game and he is higher on UM's recruiting board than Mathis.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but that doesn't seem like something you should be posting here.
