He isn't sending any kids anywhere. Talented kids go to his school and therefore they are offered. Are you claiming that he turns these kids into stars!? Pretty sure Will and Co. would be going to major universities with or without their hs coach. And you are making our point, if he has D1 athletes...shouldn't he be winning titles?

Cornerback Dior Mathis (Detroit, Mich./Cass Tech) has over two dozen scholarship offers. Mathis' list includes Michigan, Michigan State, Florida, Oregon, Tennessee, Miami, Purdue, Minnesota and Cincinnati.

The 5-9, 170-pounder, who intercepted eight passes during his junior season, wants to see who else offers and feels Ohio State and USC could join his list. Mathis said he has no favorites at all and will definitely wait and take official visits before selecting a college. He said he may take all five trips.

I cannot overstate how huge a Dior Mathis pick up would be for us.

Just a small list of some of his offers: Florida, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee, LSU, Michigan, Oregon

I cannot believe we even have a shot at this kid.

I cannot imagine the amount of peer pressure this kid is under. Lets hope he's the rebellious type.

NVM MY DUMB SELF DID NOT READ THE ARTICLE TITLE.

This is an epic W just being in his top 2 over M.

Let's hope he wants to drink the that is serving, and wants to be a part of a winning program.

What I like best, he seems like such a humble kid...

Quote:
SM: "Where they stand with me is, they are still high but they have a little more improvement to do because more teams are stepping up and telling me what I want to hear," Mathis said....

..."They said I got it by being first in every drills, being amazing in one-on-ones and being a good person off the field," Mathis said. "It was a good competition and a real good experience. I took away things that I didn't know about the game and didn't know about my position... things I am going to use throughout my senior football season and in my college football career."
Here that UM, you've got a little more improvement to do!

Just a thought. He was supposedly this uM lock before. He has now "narrowed his list to 2" uM and MSU. Does anyone think he still is and always was an uM lock and he is trying to help the weasels out in sticking their tongues out at MSU? Like in trying to make MSU fans believe they have a shot at his services?
I ask this not knowing this guy at all and nothing about his recruitment. He sounds like a great prospect and it would benefit greatly to have him matched up with "clamps" on the other side of the field.

I swear 17 year old high school football players are better at picking their words than Politicians. Seems like they always say the right things. Oh wait that's prob just because Dantonio recruits good kids.

UM is not on the list. It's us and Oregon.

No there is in Ann Arbor, and the M fans are, because is building a great program that recruits want to play for. Most defensive players are not interested in playing in some gimmick defense.

Is it just my imagination, or does Oregon recruit a lot from Michigan? Do they do this in all the states?

They must have a local recruiter, because your right, they get a lot of both football and basketball players from this area. That is ok though, because Hairston failed there and so will Jamil Wilson (actually from Wis) because they spurned
