I was browsing BP and noticed that MSU is listed in all of his updates since summer, although I haven't heard much about him. Any sort of connection to Glenville would be nice....

Glenville means an OSU offer and its a no go for MSU.

Mike Edwards is still waiting for that offer. Dantonio has connections with Glenville so it is not out of the question

Mods, why were my replies deleted?

In summary, Spartaspartan indicated that Bryant was a lock for OSU if offered. I said that anything is possible with Dantonio and pointed out that Barrent was a lock for Iowa.

you totally missed everything

1. 90% is not a lock, just a really good chance (that was in my deleted post)
2. What does a kid from Iowa have to do with the Glenville School which I clearly pointed out in my post.
3. Glenville kids, with OSU offers, historically go to OSU b/c of Ted Ginn Sr. Its a fact, look it up. Just like Detroit Cass Tech kids go to UM
4. Is it still posible to land the kid, yes. Hence the 90% comment
5. I was talking in regards to schools and how they send kids to certain colleges and you bring up a kid from Iowa with no ties to any high school that pushes kids towards a particular school
6. I could go on, but my little one is crying

I was replying to: "Glenville means an OSU offer and its a no go for MSU." no go = 100% = lock.

2. What does a kid from Iowa have to do with the Glenville School which I clearly pointed out in my post.

A kid that grew up an Iowa fan living in the middle of Iowa with Iowa friends and Iowa family and Iowa clothing went to...errr...Michigan State. It is possible that the same could happen in a situation where "Iowa" was replaced with "Ohio State".
I would go on, but I already did that yesterday in the deleted posts.

This thread is for updates about Christian Bryant. Within like an hour it was completely hijacked (which happens far too often in these threads).

WOTS from BP is that someone claiming to be Christian Bryant used to post on a Michigan board and was no fan of OSU. It's not much, but I'll take anything we can get from a Glenville kid.

I love the amount of kids we're recruiting with offers from the likes of Stanford, Vandy and Northwestern. Probably not a specific about this kid, but I noticed a few of his too.

Depends if they offer. They're short on scholarships this year and it looks like they've got 3-4 DBs they like better than either of the in-state guys (Bryant/Anderson) so they both might be left out. Not that I'm upset about it, of course.

Didn't they take, like, 13 DBs (read sarcasm) in '09?

Yeah, they took a boatload, although Justin Green spurned them on signing day in favor of Illinois, so they ended up with one less than they intended.

Bucknuts.com - Glenville's Bryant Mulls Various College Options

New article that gives a lot of info on his recruitment:

“There’s a couple schools showing me a lot of love, but I would say Notre Dame is one of the top schools, focusing on me a lot and giving me a lot of play right now. So is Illinois, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Indiana, Tennessee, West Virginia and Michigan State.”

note on above article. "This story was originally published on Irish Sports Daily, the new Notre Dame site in the TEAM Sports Network. "

Defensive back Christian Bryant (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville) has close to two dozen scholarship offers on the table. However, Bryant admitted to hoping at least a few more schools would join in. He mentioned Ohio State, USC, Florida and Georgia as schools he would like to see come through with an offer.

Ohio State did so on Monday and the Buckeyes immediately moved to the top of Bryant's list.

"It's a big relief," Bryant told Bucknuts.com's Gary Housteau. "I don't have to worry about it anymore. Right now they're probably my No. 1. I'm really excited about it."

Bryant is one of the top overall prospects in the state of Ohio. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound safety is a big-time hitter, but is also fast and has excellent coverage skills.
In addition to Ohio State, Bryant's scholarship offer list includes Michigan State, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Maryland, Stanford, and Vanderbilt.
