well, he'll have to visit other schools to compare...give the kid some time to evaluate his options.

I think it's better for us that he was excited and into the game rather than if he would've been bored or playing on his cell phone the whole time. It might not make a whole lot of impact on his decision but it couldn't hurt

Just from my observations in the past, the only thing to take away from basketball recruits at these types of games are if they don't pay any attention to it and look bored. If they are excited it doesn't mean much. Case in post - Will Gholston rushed the court at the Duke/Michigan game and was really into it. He won't be going to Michigan. Obviously the experience doesn't hurt though.

I think there's a chance LaTwan may commit to MSU, but there's also a good chance he will choose to play elsewhere. Surprisingly, this is the case with many of our potential recruits.

Did he actually transfer to Glenville or not? Buckeye boards have conflicting reports.

Per Bucknuts, he's NOT a Tarblooder! Guess his dad came to St Ed's to unenroll him and the coaches talked him out of it. Apparently, his GPA isn't where he'd like it to be, and Glenville's much easier in the grades than is St. Eds, so that was the potential motivation for the transfer. He's going to take the ACT pretty soon, and if he scores high enough, he'll stay at St. Edward, but if his score is low enough that his GPA will need major improvement to compensate, then he'll go to Glenville.

Yup, that looks like the deal from the rumor mill. From the fact mill, he is still at St. Eds.
As for his speed, on BP they mentioned electronic times in track meets. His fastest time is 11.04 in the 100m. Fast, but not 4.24 40 fast.
http://www.baumspage.com/tf/ne/2008/ravenna/res08.htm
Certainly he can get faster in the next 2 years, but I doubt he is below 4.4 right now.

No they aren't out of it.

Not that he is down to three.

Good stuff on BP. Sounds like he's the rare Ohio kid who's not totally infatuated with OSU.

Beating UM for a kid outside of Michigan would be a pretty huge step in recruiting.

Would love to have this kid...Dantonio knows defensive backs...he needs to start hauling in the top ones from the midwest.

It doesn't seem to serious. If the rumors are true it doesn't seem like he broke the law like McDougald.
Unless he beat a kid up severely and put him in the hospital, I don't think Dantonio will pull his offer.
Maybe after the Winston stuff he will be cautious but we will see.
