Oregon is trying to get a hotbed in the midwest. Way better players than they can get in their region. It's west coast or else for them...
This kid seems to be in the top four WR we are looking at.

Just like I said with Isaiah, there is no way Lewis is going to sign up for that crap they have going in Kentucky. 2 kids committed and one of them a kicker?
Our class, our wide receiver tradition, the direction our program is going all should make MSU an easy decision for him.

I agree when you compare the programs, that MSU is the much better choice for Lewis. But, he has a hs teammate that he is friends with on UK. This isn't always a factor, but it could be in his recruitment.
We made his recent top 5 of MSU, Cinci, UK, Oregon and South Carolina. This is great news for us. South Carolina has maybe 2 more WR spots available and has many offers out to southern prospects that are high on them and likely to commit soon. Oregon is far away, though Lewis hasn't claimed that distance is a factor, but Oregon has taken many WR commitments over the last two seasons. UK is UK, they have a hs teammate and other Indiana commits on the team, but that's the only positive they have for Lewis. Cinci could be some competition, but MSU seems to be in a great position.

If we get Jones next week, I wonder how that affects Lewis. 2 or 3 WRs this class?

Here is my take on his recruitment :
Cincy - Brian Kelly is a "smooth operator" and is a very competitive recruiter.
UK - This football program is in the "dumpster". Only 2 commits so far and one of them is a K. The only positive for them in his recruitment is that one of his former HS teammates is already there. IMHO he will not go there.
Ore. - Distance could be a factor. Will he get "star struck" by their facilities, courtesy of Nike.
S. Car. - Spurrier is another smooth recruiter. They probably have 2 WR scholarships still available but there are several southern WR prospects who have interest who might commit soon.
MSU - Might have a slight lead now. This is WR U ! I think he might eventually decide on MSU.
Note : WR Tony Jones up-coming decision could become a factor in Lewis' recruitment. If Jones chooses NW, then Lewis' recruitment becomes a priority for the MSU staff. If Jones chooses MSU, then the question becomes, does MSU take a 3rd WR in the 2010 class ?

Indy WR Lewis Will Take Decision Into Season

Michigan State recently got a commitment from Indianapolis native Isaiah Lewis who adds his considerable talent to a quality pool of secondary talent. So it only seemed natural to check in with Indianapolis (IN) Pike wide receiver Dyjuan Lewis to see where he stands in his recruitment. Get Inside to see how he feels about Michigan State.

A South Carolina recruiting site on ESPN claims that MSU and UK are believed to be the two schools leading for his services. Most of us already thought this, but UK has a hs teammated of Lewis' on the team. Hopefully he commits to MSU.
