Notre Dame: Opportunity to play more readily than State at running back plus kick return after Tait. Chelsea Coach is a big fan of ND. Change uni's to match ND's
MSU: loves him at Kick returner!!!
DickRod: Nick is in-line pending outcomes of other offers (i.e. White).
Nick is a very powerful small running back. Mike Hart without the mouth. Good kid.

i would argue he would see the field at MSU before ND

My thoughts exactly. I don't know how the hell ND sells RBs on playing time every freaking year. If he goes to ND, he's got Robert Hughes, Armando Allen, Jonas Gray, and Cierre Wood ahead of him on the depth chart (plus whoever else ND brings in this year).

Maybe a little like this guy? (taken from National Football Foundation's College Football Hall Of Fame)
October 30,1971: In West Lafayette, Michigan State halfback Eric "The Flea" Allen breaks Michigan running back Ron Johnson's (1992 College Football Hall of Fame inductee) NCAA record for rushing yards in a single game, sprinting for 350 yards in the Spartan's 43-10 victory over Purdue.
Hop on the train Nick and enjoy the ride.

Well, keep in mind that if he goes tp MSU, he'll have Ray, Leggett, Winston, Caper, and Baker to compete with, none of whom will be seniors when/if he goes to MSU. Either way you look at it, whether he goes to MSU or Notre Dame, he's going to have a lot of young, high quality RBs ahead of him.

Winston is still up in the air, but yes the rest are young and talented. He seems to be a little bit of a different back than the others which could help his cause. A talented change of pace back with a lot of speed and strength and a strong return game is always welcome.

the versatility Nick Hill provides with kickoffs and punt returns could lead to the taking of a bigger bruising back.
The type of RB that Nick Hill is (b/c he is so multi-skilled) could lead to a 2 RB class

I really think Hill is a specialty back and not an every down type runner. I think he's going to be an asset on kick returns and may be exclusively used there and on a handful of other "change of pace" type plays.

Despite my earlier post, with all of the people we are on I'd have to imagine we take 2 (Guys like Hill, White, etc are more like 'athletes' than every down types, IMO)

Thinking the same thing...Hart ran a 4.4 in high school too. By the time Nick gets on the field at RB he most likely have a very similar frame. He already has the north/south style and will most likely be the shortest guy on field which is not necessarily a bad thing at RB. Looking forward to seeing him @ state.

I really like everything about how recruits.
First and mainly, he recruits character kids. You can't expect a kid to show character under adversity on the field when he doesn't have any off of it.
Next was building relationships with the MI HS network.
He's also shown that he goes after, (and gets!), top-rated kids.
Finally, he goes with the soft-sell. If a kid doesn't want to be at MSU, then he's not for us. Don't wait around, potentially losing plan-B kids, while some 17-year-old dangles us. You don't want to be at MSU? See ya. This approach will pay off for us in the long run. I'd much rather have an option B kid who is excited about being at MSU, versus somebody with supposedly more talent who puts us on a par with many other schools. We keep getting kids who are excited to be in EL, pretty soon EL is going to be where EVERYONE wants to be.
Welcome to MSU, Nick. You're going to love it.

The Ann Arbor news is the only source reporting this. We may be jumping the gun.

It's not surprising that the name of Dan Enos keeps popping up with the verbals we have so far. Enos is Dantonio's primary recruiter for the state of Michigan and Hill mentions him as one of the reasons he chose State. Enos knows talent and high school players seem to love the guy because they always mention him. Enos will get a head coaching position one day and when he does it will be a big loss for MSU.

I feel good about this pick up. He seems like a Keyshawn Martin level sleeper recruit.

Hard to believe someone is considered a sleeper when he rushed for 4700 yards and scored over 50 touchdowns in only three years of varsity football.

I like the idea of this kid as a return man for us. Weird that rivals or scout haven't picked up on it yet.

Definitely not a sleeper. He's been on the national radar for a while now including an offer from Stanford.

Enos will need to start at O coordinator before head coaching gig, and my money's on that will be at State before any other school...as long as MD is around, I don't see Enos going anywhere...anyone remember when we almost didn't retain Enos when MD came aboard???? Man, that would have been a HUGE gaffe.
