fantasy football trade help
I have been offered Willie Parker and Chad Johnson for Hines Ward and Jamal Lewis.
12 man league and here is how my roster will look if I do do this.
McNabb
L. Jordan or Stephen Davis or Willie Parker
Julius Jones
Chad Johnson
Joe Horn
Dallas Clark or Ben Troupe
Viniatieri
Bengals D
Jamal Lewis is starting to scare me with the Ravens horrible offense. Also who knows how long Willie Parker will be in the backfield?
What are your thoughts?

Willie Parker will fill the hole at your back-up RB position. Pull the trigger. Jamal Lewis is garbage without an effective passing game.

Even if Parker cools off, you still have Lamont, and Chad Johnson is NOT going to cool off. Hines Ward at best will equal Johnson's numbers the rest of the season if he's lucky, and the Baltimore offense is looking stanky due to their aging OLine.
You must do this trade.

Parker would actually be my #4 back. I am going to counter with:
Parker, Johnson and D. Foster
for
Ward, Lewis and Troupe
I might as well see if I can secure the Carolina backfield while D. Foster is cheap.

If Hines Ward will equal Johnson's numbers, then this trade is Willie Parker for Jamal Lewis. Once Staley and Bettis return, Parker is not going to stay as the number 1 man in Pitt. While Balt and Lewis are off to a lousy start, Jamal Lewis is better than a player who will share carries with Staley and lose all goal line carries to Bettis. The only way I would make this trade is if you think Chad Johnson is a huge upgrade over Ward, which I don't think he is.
I do like the counter trade of getting Foster a little bit better.

Not so fast, my friend....
Cowher proclaims former third-stringer the starter after another impressive effort
HOUSTON -- This just in: "Fast" Willie Parker is the man at running back for the Steelers.
Not just until Duce Staley and Jerome Bettis get healthy, but until coach Bill Cowher declares otherwise.
"He's our starter," Cowher said regarding Parker, following Sunday's 27-7 win over the Texans. "I don't think you need to keep asking me that.
"I gotta keep other guys involved and I'll attempt to do that, but Willie Parker's going no where."
(the link has more, but Fast Willie is The Man in The Burgh until further notice)

So far, Willie Parker has gotten me the following fantasy points:
Week 1 = 30
Week 2 = 21
He is awesome & will continue to be the starter

Thanks for showing me that.
I still think Cowher will start to slowly work in Staley over the next few weeks and Bettis will get goal line carries. One bad game by Parker and it's soon to be running back by committee.

As of right now Lewis is riding my bench with no end in sight. It would be one thing if Lewis would finally have a good game and I could deal him. But I am not sure when that will happen. And if it happens 3 weeks from now, how much value will that one good week bring?
