A few years ago I drafted Vinnie as my #1 pick after he had just come off his best season ever. The first play of the season he got his leg snapped and was lost forever.
I went to the waiver wire and picked up an unknown quarterback who seemed to have had a great Ist game. That team went on to ....win EVERY game in my league.....and.....finished #5 OVERALL on all of ESPN!!!!! The quarterbacks name? Kurt Warner.
I had Warner, Faulk and Bettis. The last game of the season, in the playoffs with 5 seconds left and New England on the 10 yard line, (I had to win every game to qualify for ESPN prizes (Which I didn't win...they only pay 3 places) I was down 5 points and only had Ben Coates (TE New England) left. Bledsoe went back to pass, he threw it incomplete...
...Game over, I lost........not so fast my friend. Penalty on the defense, pass interference....replay from the 1 yard line. Bledsoe passes.....TOUCHDOWN Ben Coates......6 points......I win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My two sons and I were dancing and hollering!!!!!!!! Never had so much fun with fantasy football. Thought I was a fantasy genius. Since then I've sucked egg.
