Fantasy Baseball Question:
Please only answer if you're serious about fantasy sports, baseball in particular: Who should be taken with the 5th overall pick? If you don't agree with any of these choices, please specify someone else. ARod, Pujols, Teixeira and Manny will be gone.

Some would argue that Vlad is worthy of a #1 overall pick. I think if you could get him at #5, take him in an instant!

You like him that much even though he's only played in 141 and 112 games in two of the past three seasons? I think I might be leaning towards Big Papi.

If you are in the 5 spot, take the best available starting pitcher Johann Santana. Or the best 1b, Derrick Lee. You can get 3 tier 2 OFs on the cheap.

That would be my only concern, but personally, that is what I would do. You really can't go wrong either way.

Avg HR RBI Runs SB
.335 46 107 120 15
I could live with that @ 5. Plus he'll have a real deal lead off hitter this year, so RBIs will be up big.

.276 career hitter
32 HR his previous high along with 98 RBIs
He had a career year, his numbers will be down, especially if he hits 2nd.

28 is the breakout year but there is a +/- 2 year factor.
I guarantee D. Lee will put up at least these numbers
.300 40HR 130RBI 100Runs 10steals

unless you are in a fantasy league with 20+ members, having both leagues available to draft is amateur. Sack up and go with one league only. That will seperate the men from the boys on draft day.
