Evaluate this deal please.....

that just took place in a league I am in.

DeShaun Foster and Ronnie Brown for Larry Johnson and Jeff Reed.

Thoughts?

First of all, are you sure you mean Jeff Reed (the kicker), as opposed to Josh Reed (the receiver)?? Either way, it's essentially Johnson straight up for Brown & Foster.

Larry Johnson: 357 yards rushing, 274 yards receiving, 3 TD

Ronnie Brown: 405 yards rushing, 153 yards receiving, 4 TD
DeShaun Foster: 431 yards rushing, 74 yards receiving, 1 TD

Before the year began, I probably would say that this isn't enough for Larry Johnson. It's still a bit iffy, since Johnson really hasn't had a chance to get going.

I'd say it's a legitimate trade, and that it doesn't clearly favor one guy over the other.

It seems pretty fair, as long as the guy getting the 2 RB's NEEDS both and will play both each week. If not, and one will sit the bench, than it is not a good trade.

Also, in our league, where PPR count, Johnson still scores a lot for me because he catches so many balls out of the backfield.

thanks for the feedback. The guy giving up LJ will definitely be playing the 2 he is getting return. Initially, it does not seem enough for LJ, but Ronnie Brown has been pretty dam good.

And yes, it was the kicker, not the WR.

The other thing is, now that DeAngelo Williams is out for a while, Foster's value went up.

that's a tough call. like another poster said, before the season, considering a trade of both DFoster and RBrown for LJohnson still wouldn't be enough. BUT LJohnson's health may be an issue. His starting QB is out indefinitely. The KC offense is currently dead-in-the-water. I think the person giving up 2 RBs is giving up too much in this case.
