Rate My Draft

Sorry, but I couldn't resist. Ten team league, I had 10th pick. Starting lineup is QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, W/T Flex, K, D/ST.

QB- Brees (1st rd), Rothlesberger (10th)
RB- Parker (2nd), James (3rd), Dunn (8th), Jordan (11th)
WR- Roy Williams (4th), A. Johnson (5th), T. Gonzalez (6th), Muhammad (9th), Cotchery (13th)
K- Wilkins (12th)
D- Minnesota (7th), Oakland (14th)

Had a couple newbies in the league (we do partners). With the third overall pick they took Lawrence Maroney and then took Harrington in the 11th round.

Newbies to what FOOTBALL???? Unreal!

Not a bad draft probably worthy of 5th place in my opinion...
A little early to take Brees... I mean he is a stud but 1st round??? I guess it does dependson the trends of your draft though too... RB's and WR's/TE are good..Defense isn't great... Luckily you did have those newbies or your team would be a lot worse off.

Good luck!

Harrington in the 11th round isn't as dumb as Brees in the 1st! Harrington will the ATL starter most likely and they got a pretyy good FA WR, can't recall his name.

Joe Horn is the wideout.

Why is it that people will draft a guy like Brees so early when you can get a bum like Kitna late and the fact is Kitna will put up huge fantasy numbers.

Maybe because Brees put up 4,500 yards in only 15 full games last year? {no

Yeah, but who did you pass up at RB. Somehow you got lucky and Parker was still there, but wouldn't you feel better with 2 stud RB plus maybe edge as your 3rd rb and then Kitna or some other QB later on.

Brees will definetly put up huge numbers but is the difference that great. Personally I would have felt better with 2 of the following (reggie Bush, Willie Parker, Rudi Johnson, Westbrook, Travis Henry) plus Carson Palmer in the 3rd or Bulger in the 4th.

Good luck with your team and hoefully edge pans out for you.

Honestly, not good early but some good picks later. Taking Brees in the first round is way too early and taking a defense before the last three rounds should be grounds for a beating. Especially Minnesota. Dunn and especially Jordan are nice picks later in the draft. Overall I would say it is a C-.
