Would you give up Bedard for Ryan Howard?

I've got a strong staff but really lack in HRs. Do you think Howard is worth the risk?

Who else does the other guy have, power wise? You might be able to get two decent power guys for Bedard instead of the average killer that is Howard.

Based on you saying that you're strong at SP and weak at power hitting, I'd strongly consider it. Howard is not going to finish the season hitting sub-.200. Plus he plays his home games in Philly so the homers will come no matter what. Buy low.

I'd jump at this trade even though Howard is going to shatter his dubious crown of most strikeouts in a season that he set last year. If this was the first week of the season you wouldn't have to think about this....even with Howard's horrible start this is still a no brainer. Keep him on the bench until he shows a series where he starts turning it around.

keep in mind that you wont' be getting Howard's stats previous to the trade, you'll be scored on what from this point forward. He's too good not to break out of his slump. Definitely a trade you make.

Bedard decided to drop a huge steamer on my team right before he left. Good thing I have Cliff Lee's usual gem to offset it.
