My first foray into the FF world
My first foray into the FF world. It was a keeper league, and I inherited a team with horrible RB’s. So, I had started with Rodgers and Fitzgerald and picked 8th out of 11.
QB: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Cassel
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Roy Williams, Jerricho Cotcherty, Michael Crabtree
RB: Ronnie Brown, Knowshon Moreno, Jamal Lewis, LeSean McCoy
TE: Antonio Gates, Mercedes Lewis
K: Cowboys kicker, whatever his name is
D/ST: Redskins
Does my team blow? I took a flyer on some rookies, especially at RB, since so many were already off the board as keepers on other teams.

You are strong at starting QB, better watch out at backup (let's see if/when Cassel starts -- you may want to pick up Thigpen, although I'd be more interested in a bona fide backup, e.g., Joe Flacco, just doublecheck the bye weeks to make sure it isn't the same as GB's).
Your RB's I rank in this order, subject to change for rookies' performance: Ronnie Brown (quite good, have him on one of my teams, expect quite a bit from him); Jamal Lewis (probably one of the worst starters to have in the league, but will get his touches at least); LeSean McCoy (legitimate backup to Westbrook, flashing the same skills, may work his way into more touches to spell Westbrook, or pick up starts with the inevitable Westbrook injury); and Moreno (very unclear where he falls in the starting RB mess at Denver, and with a new coach (and first-time coach, at that), very hard to read the tea leaves on how he is used). Could be better, not all that bad, good potential with the rookies.
Your WR's............Your WR's. Where do I start? With Larry Fitzgerald, obviously, your only legit starter. He'll get his numbers even if Warner goes down (don't forget Leinart is standing right there waiting to throw to him -- shouldn't be much of a dropoff if Warner blows a knee in the opener). Roy Williams I also have on one team, was high on him to begin with, am less so now, injury concerns a bonus. Jerricho Cotchery is the new #1 WR in NY, with a rookie QB I expect to throw more underneath (to Dustin Keller or a RB) than any long balls. I don't really trust Jerricho. He fell to me in a couple of leagues, and I'm trying (so far without success) to dump him. Crabtree may not play at all this season, or for the 49'ers next season. He's a pure prayer at this juncture. I don't know how many wides you start, but you need serious help here. (TJ Housh out there?)
TE's: Antonio is still one of the premier TE's in the league, so you're fine there. Mercedes Lewis gets a TD about every blue moon, so he's not much of a backup. See if anyone has left Marcellus Bennett (of Dallas) out there, and if so, grab him. Marcellus is more in the style of a Greg Olsen-Dallas Clark TE in that they will split him wide. Dallas is very high on him: even with Jason Witten as their starting TE, they're putting 2-TE packages in just to make sure Marcellus sees as much of the field as possible. I'm also high on John Carlson of Seattle.
Nick Folk as your kicker is fine. No one cares about the kicker. He's perfectly serviceable.
Redskins DST is a sexy pick (due to the Haynesworth signing); I don't like it for the very same reason. Haynesworth is a head case with Shaun Rogers tendencies to take plays off. He played for his contract last year, has got one this year. Bet the Redskins regret the signing before midseason. Try to pick up the NYJ DST if you can; many are also ballyhooing the Dallas DST, and they might not be bad, although I'd prefer the NYJ, GB, or SD (still available in some leagues) to Redskins.
Good luck.

Martellus. Martellus Bennett at TE.

Wow. Thanks.
I figured Lewis would at least get a lot of carries and I could start him until Moreno was healthy and getting a full load. I liked McCoy just because I figured Westbrook will get hurt. Crabtree was my last pick, figured what the heck, will dump him a few weeks if nothing happens. I figure there should be someonne out there I can pick up. Lewis was my second to last pick. I'll see who is still out there. I'll check out Bennett and Carlson, though I think I recall Carlson getting picked up.

Yeah, I like the McCoy pick and think you will get numbers from him. I'm really unsure WTF to think about Moreno, but who knows? he may end up being the pick of the litter.
Crabtree is such a ****in' diva. You're in a keeper league, and he certainly has potential, so I probably wouldn't cut him, but what a ****in' diva.

Your running back group does not look very strong. I have Moreno as well. Waiting to see what happens when he is fully healed.

Season update (not that anyone cares)
I'm the points leader for the league!
I'm 2-8 and in last place
You can count on your half your team having a career day when you match up against team bruco. Oh, well, this was fun, I'll keep doing it.

Well, with Ronnie Brown out for the rest of the year, at least I won't be the points leader for long
