Trade help

I am offered the trade of giving up Ray Rice for San Fran's D, Reggie Bush and Steve Smith (NYG). I currently have Atlanta's defense.

Two questions:

(1) Is this a PPR league? If so, loss of Rice's production may well be set off by picking up Bush.

(2) How are you set at RB? Rice is pretty darned good, better IMHO than Bush in a non-PPR league, and anytime I see a defense thrown into an offer, it sets up a red flag for me.

Having said that, based on pure production, I'd pull the trigger on this trade. SF's D is better than Atlanta's (didn't ATL just lose their best CB for the season?), Steve Smith is a solid WR, and Reggie Bush is at least meh.

Only thing you may want to think about is that it would require you to drop 2 players to make the trade. Know who they would be? and would it hurt? If so, don't do it -- counteroffer to get the component you are most in need of.

Reggie Bush is so over rated. Who else you got at RB? That a deeper position for you?

The D's are basically a wash, both very comparable.

Steve Smith has been a stud for the most part. You thin at WR?
