What cracks me up more than the $$$$ thing is that there are 20 people in the league or some shnitz like that. Um, I will take Barry Sanders please...

That is a garbage excuse. I imagine that if you are poor, you associate with other poor people. So get a league where the wager is like $7 or something. If $7 means a lot to you, then you get the same thrill out of the $500 leagues I belong to.
Being poor has nothing to do with this.
I think it has everything to do with a little skank-boys unwilling to sack up and put it on the goddamn line.

I'm in two money leagues and two non-money leagues. I was answering as to why I was in non-money leagues.

I've never gotten into a fantasy league in ANY sport. I've just never had the interest in the concept.

As for playing in a free fantasy league.....
Sometimes I think it's more fun to play in a free fantasy league with friends. When money is involved people are way more competitive, including me, and just nasty in general. It's hard to get a league for money where everyone is happy. Someone always ******* about something. Trades are virtually impossible because there is always someone that feels it is unfair or they are out to get them. Therefore, I think playing for free could be more rewarding if you just want to enjoy the sport with some friends.

I am not talking about just general trash talking. I know friendships that have been destroyed because of money involved in fantasy sports. Personally, I do think it's fun to play for money. However, I was just saying that sometimes it's more fun to play just for fun. People get way too worked up when money involved. This is completely different from professional sports.
