Thumbs down Take fantasy football and stick it up your #!*&^

I've had it! Enough with the fantasy football talk, you F-ing geeks! It's bad enough that there is talk of it on the RCMB, but now it's taking over sports radio and TV! ENOUGH! It's NOT a sport; it DOESN'T matter; and it IS a complete bastardization of the great game of football! Fantasy football does nothing but promote the "me first" attitude and encourage F-ing stat-rats like Terrell Owens (who, by the way, should be beaten to death with his own cell phone).

You've already ruined the NBA by putting players over teams, and now you're going after the NFL. Well, F off and go play Dungeons & Dragons, you F-ing losers.

Thank you, and Go State!

There is actually something at stake for most of us...in my league its a cash prize of over 600 dollars plus it gives you a reason to give a damn about every game...its not life but a form of gambling and havin some fun

Back in my day, we could bet on teams. It's a simple concept, but it worked pretty well.

I don't give a rats ass about Fantasy sports either

I'm a huge sports fan and I don't need a financial incentive to watch Boise State and Idaho on ESPN2 at 11 p.m. on a Thursday night.

I watch because I'm a fan of the game.

I've got a good idea, don't read the post or switch the station if it bothers you. Not sure why you would spend so much time writing about it, just ignore it and your problem is solved.

What does Terrell Owens have to do with a cell phone? That was Joe Horn.

1. Because NOBODY gives a s*** who "Joe from Okemos" takes as his third pick.

2. Because, as I explained earlier, I don't want to see the NFL turn into the NBA.

3. Because I said so.

I can understand your reasoning behind not liking fantasy sports. however, fantasy football is the best fantasy game out there. It is hard to promote individualality in a sport where you need so much to happen to have a good play. I've tried all the other fantasy sports and found them to be boring, football is a good mix because its not an everyday activity like baseball, basketball, or hockey. Fantasy football for one gets your friends together with a little competitiveness where the outcome has financial relevence. In my league each team pays $300 with 14 teams thats a lot of money at stake so, you better have the willingness to do your homework. At the end of the day its a way for sports fans that can't play any longer to still feel like games mean something to them.

Amen. I too am sick of all these radio guys talking fantasy football. Half of Sportscenter is devoted to it sometimes. I did it for a few years and have no desire to do so again.

I am in a league with 16 teams, over $500 put in by each team to start, plus usually another $100 or $200 per team to pick up free agents. I NEED TO FIND OUT ALL I CAN ABOUT EACH AND EVERY PLAYER THERE IS. thank you.

What a great aspect of fantasy football. I've played a couple years with people I did not know, and it was ok, but not as fun as it is doing it with friends and family. Nothing like talking a little smack during the week. Some fam members go to my church, so every Sunday morning we razz each other before the big games, analyze other matchups and what have you. It's pretty geeky, sure, but if you were to be honest, so is posting on a sports message board.
