MSU cooled on him this winter. I'm not surprised at all he picked Miami.

Wow, that is surprising to me. I had heard he was leaning our way. JerseySpartan, any reason why Izzo and staff cooled on him? At least he is going out of conference.

Well, State picking up Sherman and Nix meant there was no room for him anyway.

I don't know about that AA. My guess is that if Izzo could've been assured that Wilson wouldn't get scared away by the three "big" committments (Nix, Sherman & Kirk or Still), I don't think he's would've been at all against taking four of them as it would almost guarantee that one of the bigs (probably Nix) would get a redshirt and effectively join the class of 2010.

My thought (based on the team's makeup and Izzo's comments) was that he was going to take 2 PF/C and 1/2 combo forwards. I would have been very surprised had he diverged from that. I certainly don't think that Kirk would have committed to Miami right now if Nix hadn't pulled the trigger.
