I can't read it but hopefully it shed more judgment on his situation. I have heard from good sources the info I have shared in this thread but I have not seen any word from Howell on the matter. Hopefully it's a recent conversation in the article the reporter had with Howell. It will probably be an article with no new info though.

Ohhh Nick. By sources do you mean that you have a subscription to every MSU recruiting service and you steal their information and post it as you own? I think so...

Scout - Richard Howell - Is MSU Still Interested? $
Confirmed that MSU has indeed offered him. Still interested in MSU and hears from them. Says MSU coaches are looking at him as a WF.

Howell: "I'm interested in Michigan State, Texas, Memphis, Tennessee and Auburn. They're all about the same right now."

Weird that he didn't mention Georgia or Florida. Both gave him offers

Raymar doesn't have a jump shot.

Well it looks like he likes southern schools but from a pure bball standpoint I would like to think our program has a slight advantage there. Hopefully Izzo can get him

I agree! I really liked Howell on video when I saw him play. I was impressed by how physically impressive he looked at such an early age. Go get him!

Yes he does, for whatever reason (ie. brain cramps) he just lost it for the last 10-15 games of the season. But make no mistake, one of Raymar's strengths is his mid-range jumper.

If you can't make a jump shot for 15 games (half a season), I would not consider it a strength. Is it an area that can be improved? Yes.

Morgan makes a good % of his shots
Morgan needs to improve getting open, getting open shots, and not traveling.

Relative to his skillset, it's a strength. Making open jumpers wasn't his problem. Getting open, forcing the play and turning the ball over were his problems. And I don't think there's a single player on the team who is good enough in one specific area that it can't be improved upon.

Richard Howell has been one of the most consistent players for the Worldwide Renegades Orange team this AAU season. According to numerous eyes in the gym, he was outstanding on Saturday morning and was the toughest player on the floor to defend.

Recent rivals article may finally make some of you realize that Howell was never pressed by Izzo.

That may be so, but recent articles make everyone realize that 1)everyone at TOS are way off base is saying that his play and ranking are going to drop off the map and 2) some poster on TOS told everyone about Howells back issues that have been resolved and no one listened.
He is now turning into a top 20 player, maybe higher. I just hope it is not to late for TI to get in there. The WWR's are a premier team with premier talent that seems to be in love with MSU. Why TI would not pursue this area is a joke.

I don't recall anyone insinuating that Izzo was full court pressing Howell. What I do recall is some folks suggesting that maybe Izzo should start showing the kid a little more attention. Too many eggs seem like they're being placed in one basket here. Because while I would definitely rather have Jamil Wilson, if that boat doesn't end up docking in EL...I have a feeling that in a year or two down the road, people are going to regret missing out on Howell.
He's skilled, he'd fill a critical hole on MSU's roster and he's a winner. It just sucks that waiting on Plan A might mean that you eliminate all chances of settling for a real solid plan B.

Personally, I take both. Put the full court press on them both. I'd be surprised if Izzo missed out on both and I think they are both high enough to take them both with the two ships still available. Then you red shirt Nix for the 10 class and that way still balance the classes. Now if there are some super high 10's that Izzo feels sure about then ok but it's always better to have two birds in the hand then one in the bush................or something like that.
GO GREEN!
