No need to make it anonymous-everyone knows St8.

Now if he's 6'5" with shoes on, that's bad news since it would mean that he's about 6' 3 1/2" barefoot. Fortunately I highly doubt that's the case.

I'm almost positive it was barefoot. A 7' wingspan is nice. That's pretty solid size for a Wing

I am sure it was barefoot...could you imagine a kid with a 7 foot wingspan who is only 6'3? I don't think he could walk, much less run effectively

I know circumstaces are different but some said the same about D. Strickland. I will not get excited until he verbals.

It's a little more common than you think. Pistons "prospect" Alex Acker is 6' 3.75" with a 7 foot wingspan. Former UNC player, Rashad McCants is 6' 2.75" with a 6' 11" wingspan. Former Hoosier Bracey Wright, is 6' 1.25" with a 6' 10" wingspan. And though a bit less severe, Eric Gordon is 6' 2" with a 6' 9" wingspan and Derrick Rose at 6' 1.25" with a 6' 8" wingspan.

Okay, are you related to Richard Howell? Seriously!?!! What is up with your love of him. This is a sad attempt to make a dig on Wilson, and it is quite obvious. Perhaps you can root for whatever program lands Howell...and then you can write a letter to Izzo after Howell wins the Naismith award, and Wilson transfers to Prairie View that you, yes you, could have told him that this was going to happen, and he should hire you as his recruiting expert.
Of course, you left out the next couple threads that talked about Wilson's injuries, and how Justin Young did not know he was injured and playing that way at the Peach Jam.

"I'd be surprised anyone offers him after his performance at the Peach Jam"
With comments like that from their head analysts, I'm starting to understand why so many people have such disrespect for Rivals basketball recruiting coverage.

Just trying to keep the Spartan fans informed with the point of view of a national recruiting expert.
No reason for you to waste your time with the response like you did. I do not know why you and Jersey Spartan take this so personal. You guys have no problem writing about how poorly a guy like Deshonte Riley played, yet jump on me for letting people know that Wilson had a bad tournament?

Wisconsin fans doing what Wisconsin fans do: bash the hell out of any instate prospect that doesn't like the Badgers:
Scout.com: Jamil Wilson will not be going to UW
They're even harder on Jamil than they were on Korie, as hard as that is to believe.

They haven't figured out that not every top-notch basketball player is interested in playing for Bo or his program. It takes a certain type to want to go there, mostly pasty white boys, which speaks volumes in and of itself. Bo has been successful, but his program is still a bore to many of today's athletes.

yeah hopefully the next thing we hear isn't that Bo recruited someone who looked like chris rock in order to "attract the athletes..." In all seriousness though, he does have a plethora of pasty white boys.

It's a racist comment period. I'd bet anything that he is a black man and I also bet anything that I would get killed if I said something like............John Thompson's system does't really fit player x because he recruits really dark black guys.

Oh my God this thread sucks.
Yes, UW has a lot of white boys and everyone in the Memphis team is black. Oh, NO! I said it.
And I hope Wilson comes here. Ok, so he had a bad tournament. Whatever, even the best can have some bad games. Of course, as soon as he drops 40 on someone, you'll be drooling all over him again.
Wilson, come on down to East Lansing!

plus I believe he's been playing on an injured ankle/foot so he's not going to be lighting everyone up. Thing that impresses me is he's not going to use his injury as an excuse he's still playing. might not be the smartest thing but it shows the kid has some grit to him.

You don't have to be black to see what type player gravitates to a particular program as a result of the style of play. Duke's pretty much the same way, Iowa will be next and Michigan under B_ is moving in that direction. Duke's style of play has been a little successful, I'd say.
Although awkward, It is an observation of fact, not a statement about race relations.
If it makes you all feel any better, Memphis' style of play attracts 'a particular type' of black basketball player.

Wow, that kid has been through a lot recently, things that will definitely impact your game. Unfortunately for him, he's been evaluated when he wasn't at his best.

Don't worry about trying to make me feel better, I feel just fine thanks. I have no issues with observational facts based on race, gender or religion for that matter. The truth is the truth after all. Frankly, I think that race is way overblown in our current culture......but that's neither here nor there. The racial remark had nothing to do with expressing the observable fact of the number of white players on Bo's rosters over the years. It was using the term "pasty" that turned an observable fact statement into one with racial overtones. In any event, I've said my peace and will let it go from any further comment as that's not the point of this thread.
I still hope we get Wilson but I would love to have Howell come along as well.
