That is weird considering the schools that were after him. You also have to remember that OSU already has their 2013 class wraped up

Well let's hope for a nice tourney run...only 8 of the top 25 (and 14 out of the top 50) kids in the country are committed to other schools right now.

I think that they just never went after him at all after they got B.J. Mullens

Top POST player. Not overall player.

Riley hasn't endeared himself to anyone this season. He only had a handful of "good" games and a lot of games where the most anybody could say was that he at least bothered to show up to the gym. I'm not going to get upset if he goes to Georgetown or somewhere else. I can only imagine how frustrating a player he'll be in college if he keeps up his current attitude. Some the posters here would completely after awhile.

Went and saw both class A semifinal games and the class A final game and if you are concerned about people being to skinny, Derrick Nix is the man you want. I can guarantee you he will NOT be to skinny, that kid's closer to 400 and than he is 200.

What did you think of Appling and Green? There have been some REAL positive rumblings in the Appling recruitment.......

Yet another thing that no one understands. There are about 5 (at most) post players who are ready right now. EVERYONE else is a project to a certain degree.

Hell...the #2 center in the country for 2009 is Riley. I think everyone knows what a project he is.

Yep. That's why I laugh when people give up on Herzog (a freaking RS Freshman) or Suton. It takes time. Herzog will be a contributer by his RS Junior season; maybe just in a Naymick capacity (defense only basically) or maybe more. Some people just don't get it. There is no Paul Davis or Zack Randolph out there for us this year. Sherman can (key word in this sentence) improve an awful lot from now til he gets on campus. He may not be as much of a "project" as people are speculating.

This is a VERY solid pick-up. Give the kid credit that he chose us over nd. Nice that we can still outrecruit Purdue. Does anyone know the level of competition this kid is going against?

I wonder if Izzo has soured on the 6'8 muscular post player. We've gotten limited returns since Antonio left: Anagonye, Rowley, Gray. Maybe he figures if we get enough string-bean centers, we'll get some blocks and rebounds. I just hope this kid (and Herzog) can learn to avoid cheap fouls and can GRAB THE ****ING BALL! I swear Suton and Naymick have no nerve endings in their hands. Or if they do, the signal's not getting to their brains.

Then again, there's Roe. Welcome aboard, kid. Good choice.

this is a solid 'piece' type of pick-up for solving the whole puzzle. 23 points and 5 blocks as a junior, 6'10 and a good weight... next year, look for teams to double him on o and go away from him on d, if he has a +2 in points and maintains his blocks, this kid is a great player for us to get.

People were saying the same things with Strickland. I will not get excited until he signs. I hope we can quote you in 2 years but a lot can happen before then.

Name 10 big men in the past 5 years that haven't been projects. Most of them are.
