They are about the same height and weight...but Delvon has more of an inside game than Raymar. He's not going to be out there on the perimeter putting up jumpshots as much as he's going to be trying to muscle inside.

Because of his length, Roe is able to play to the height of about a 6'10" kid. There's a reason why Jason Maxiel at 6'5" is able to play the PF position in the NBA and it's largely because of his 7'5" wingspan. Length is such underrated and often over-looked God-given gift in basketball. If I was a college basketball recruiter, I'd focus much more on quickness and length instead of vertical hops and height.

Anyone else....
think this guy could be as good as I do? If healthy, he has as much raw ability as any Spartan EVER: including Magic and JRich. Nuts I know, but I saw the game on ESPN2 earlier this season and I was just like..............
Man among boys that's for sure. Anyone have a definative update from his blog or anything on that injury? Just wondering..........if he has to sit out his freshman year then so be it..........as his coach said he has such a great future, I'm sure they're being extra cautious. I wonder if Oden's surgeon/rehab is the same as Roe's, or even Amare Stoudamire. I noticed Stoudamire is really rolling now that he's all the way back from it. It's a nasty injury, but it seems that they're starting to make headway on repairing and rehabbing these types of things............ |

Check it out folks. Delvon's re-hab is going great. He plans on being ready by June and is apparently up to 228 (up 8 lbs from this past season) and plans to gain another 10 before the college season begins. His time off from competitive ball has allowed him to hit the weights and work on his jumper, which has reportedly become reliable even from 3 point land.
Wouldn't that be nice. ![]() RiseMag.com > Events > 2008 High School Basketball All-American Games ![]()

It sure would be nice if he came to campus a full 6' 9". Don't know why it is, but there seems to be a big difference in my mind between 6' 8", 225 lbs. and 6' 9", 225 lbs. All told though, this kid seems to be the total package. Smarts and athletic ability. I hope his knee is 100%. He is probably the biggest hyped bball player to be recruited to campus since Magic. A lot of buzz around this kid.
