Currently, i also don't think you can go as far as to say he has instincts for his position (PG). He does have an excellent scoring mentality.
After seeing him play a few times in AAU, I think he has better instincts for the PG position than Lucas. He has a better feel and understanding for the pass than Kalin. And I would gladly take two Lucas-like PG's.

Lucious is more of a pure point-guard. Izzo has moved away from recruiting the 4-year players that he has to spend so much time coaching up to play a position.

These last two recruiting classes are perfect examples.

Lucas, Allen, Summers, Lucious, Roe, Draymond were all recruited to be immediate/semi-immediate impact players. Therefore, these players will have shorter learning curves than the four-year players we've been seeing at MSU. With their more polished skill-set and strong work ethic (as per Izzo), they will pick things up much faster than previous freshmen classes. Don't be surprised to see them getting serious minutes during preseason.

Yes, they will need to adapt to MSU's sytem, the speed of college basketball and playing shut-down defense, but I don't think any of these guys will have a tough time finding minutes among those players who stood-around and sometimes played as if they feared their competition or the situation.

Just a heads up. Korie will be playing the Kentucky Derby Festival this Saturday down in Louisville. Hopefully the game will be replayed on one of the many college sports channels so we're able to check KLIF2 out.

The Kentucky Derby Festival is pleased to announce the rosters for the 2008 adidas Derby Festival Basketball Classic, to be played Saturday, April 19, at Freedom Hall. The 23-player lineups include five McDonald’s All-Americans and two players each committed to play at the University of Louisville and University of Kentucky. The game will feature 11 players ranked among recruiting service Rivals.com’s Top 50 and 18 players ranked in the Top 100. The players will also participate in the DeVry University Night of the Future Stars on Friday, April 18, at Bellarmine University’s Knights Hall.

Fishished with 9 pnts on 4-10, 1-7 from 3pnt line. Outside of the boxscore I didn't see him mentioned in any articles... of course I'm reading Kentucky papers.

Bottom Line: Tradition is measured by Final Fours and NCAA Titles. PERIOD.

He looked okay from what I saw. Made a few nice passes. You could definitely see the speed in his game but his jumper was definitely off. He seemed to drift on a lot of his jumpers.

Well he was 3-3 from 2pt range.

I would not take much regarding his 3 PT shooting that game though. He is a lot better than that.

Korie definitely needs to work on going straight up and down on his jumper. That's a big reason why he's considered by some to be a streaky shooter. It's the same flaw that creeped into Neitzel's jumper throughout his career. These kids aren't seasoned professionals...they need to focus on and stick to the fundamentals more than they realize.
