Yea I saw him in sny/phi caf alot this summer and you can definitely tell he's slimmed down quite a bit.

I've got class with Durrell and Derrick right now. Nix definitely has slimmed down some, looks like by the time the season rolls around he should be in good shape to contribute. He will still be able to bang down low, but will be able to run up and down the floor more than once and be winded. There is a lot of upside to this kid.

Appling says he is down 30 LBs and is now tippin' the scales at 275.
If he can get down about 10 more LBs and really hit the cardio hard; he could be a big time contributor for us this yr.
Also, I love that Appling is recruiting for both football and basketball...LOVE IT
