Not gonna happen for MSU. It's a two team race between UCLA and USC.

That's what im hearing. He likes MSU a lot but thinks he can get everything at UCLA that he can get at MSU. So he will end up picking the school thats closer to home.

I am surprised to see a kid from Cali interested in MSU... I wonder what his tie is to us... These kids outside the midwest usually need some outside influence to lure them in...

He does have one. His dad is a huge Michigan State fan. I believe his dad was friends with Magic Johnsons agent while he lived in Michigan. So the kid is fond of Michigan State as well but in some cases when you have the elite basketball program right down the road it's tough to pass up. MSU is an elite program but it's tough to get a kid out west away from the pac ten. I mean it's not like he's passing up MSU to go to San Diego State. It's UCLA.
