'10 Recruiting Targets
I recognize it's early but who are some of our top targets? Are any of those top targets strong MSU leans?
Scouts 5* and 4* doesn't show many kids with MSU as a school of interest.
Thanks

Look on the board. There are multiple threads created for '10 targets.

Appling (Pershing), Ziegler (Mt. Pleasant) are supposed to be the top players in Michigan for the class. Ziegler might be a bit of a longshot, since his dad coaches at CMU. Appling's supposed to be a MSU lock (or close to it). Another guy to watch out for is Al Horford's brother

They both are short but remember they are also very young.

I don't know about Ziegler to UCLA. Izzo's generally got good relationships with most coaches in Michigan not located in AA, and Coach Ziegler (like most good parents) probably wants his kid to find a school that has the opportunity for immediate playing time or a favorable depth chart (both possibilities assuming MSU doesn't land Wilson). UCLA will be a major player in his recruitment I think, but I would be surprised if MSU doesn't show a pretty good level of interest.

Whoa, I don't think we could have a guy named "Juwan Howard." That'd be weird.

Many of these players want to play right away which takes MSU off their list when they cut it to Top 5.
Just the way it is.

2010 Spartan Basketball Team
To give us an idea of what we need in this class.....
Point Guards
Kalin Lucas (Senior)
Korie Lucious (Junior)
Shooting Guards
Chris Allen (Senior)
Austin Thornton (Junior)
Small Forwards
Durrell Summers (Senior)
Jamil Wilson? (Sophmore)
Power Forwards
Draymond Green (Junior)
Delvon Roe (Junior)
Centers
Tom Herzog (Senior)
Derrick Nix (Sophmore)
Garrick Sherman (Sophmore)
Looks like a PG, SG, & SF/PF. BTW: This team looks 2004 esque, in terms of athleticism and depth.
