Roe #24, Lucious #98, Green #123.

Think of how high Roe would have been if he didn't get hurt

I can't wait to get this class on the court

Man. Roe almost lost a star there. Interesting to see what happens to some people's ratings when they are injured.

I can't get over the fact that the highest ranked player in the state of MI is #90, and it's Jason Washburn?

I understand dropping Roe due to his injury. The reasoning is definitely debatable...but at least it's understandable. But to think that they ranked Washburn over Green?! With all due respect to the future Utah Ute...that right there is pure comedy.

Wasn't Green a 4th team Parade All American this year? Isn't Green the best player on the 6th ranked high school team in the country? And he's ranked # 123 by Rivals?

This horrible reasoning. Who cares if he is the best player on the 6th ranked team. It doesn't matter.

This horrible english.

The best player on the best team in high school basketball? Do you think he's any good?

The best player on the best team in college basketball? Do you think he's any good?

My point is that the best player on any truly great team is going to be very good and it's just further evidence that Rival's ranking of Draymond is somewhat of a joke. Fortunately the ranking means nothing in the grand scheme...but its still disrespectful to DG and his skills. No big deal but the kid has earned and deserves more credit than they gave him. That's all.

I can't say i agree or disagree, but aren't these rankings based on 4 year college career projections, not high school careers? Like I said, I can't agree or disagree, but that might help some folks understand a little better at least. And I know that as reasonable as this board is people are very understanding.

For Roe, I'm actually surprised he maintained that high of a ranking. I guess I don't know the standard for a player going down like that, but it's a pretty big injury. Here's to hoping he outshine's that ranking though.

Yea Roe was the EA Sports national Junior of the year last year if I recall correctly...but not playing an entire season lets him slip out of the minds of the guys who rank, Im not worried, obviously the ranking wont help or hurt his play..if anything itll motivate him to prove people he can come back

I am not saying you are wrong, just that your reasoning is poor. Hypothetically there could be 122 players all better than him on ****ty teams. Just because he is the best player on an excellent team doesn't mean his ranking should be high, especially if there are other very good players.

Look at all the teams ranked in the top 10 of USA Today's high school rankings and look at each team's best player (or two). They're all highly ranked. So either Draymond Green and Saginaw are the biggest exceptions to the rule...or some of these services have lazily missed the boat on Green's all-around skills. You just can't have a team THAT good (ie. borderline top 5 national) without having at least one bonafide legit star. The fact that Daniel West isn't even ranked (in Rivals top 125) is just further evidence that Saginaw's entire team hasn't been evaluated much if any this year, let alone thoroughly.

You would've thought that Saginaw's beating of nationally reknown Toledo Libbey on MLK Jr Day would've shined a light or two on the dramatically underrated Trojan stars...but alas, it didn't happen. And no offense but my reasoning is based more on facts and common sense than is your devil's advocate hypothetical.

Jerry Meyer said he hasn't seen Daniel West play, so that leads me to believe he hasn't seen anything of Day Day since his injured play at the Peach Jam either...

Now that's how you invalidate your own rankings. How could you not evaluate a team that has players signed to go to MSU and Tennessee?

My point exactly. The rankings (with regards to certain players) are absolute bunk.

If Green was two inches taller and he played on Oak Hill, the scouts would be calling him the next Kevin Love. But since he only plays on lowly two time defending big class state champ Saginaw, he's considered an overweight but skilled tweener.
