FWIW Morgan was thought of in the same manner back when he was in high school. ie. competitive, a leader, relentless, willing to do the dirty work, sacrifices for the team, etc... To that end, I think their skillsets are very similar...and that's a good thing because the only thing holding Raymar back from being one of the better players in the country is decision making and controlling his emotions.

Precisely. Roger Franklin, however, is reported to be oozing with mental toughness along with his other abilities, it is the difference maker.

I think RayRay has been hanging out with Quise too much. Too many dumb fouls and walks everytime.

Fixed.

I'm talking about him replicating his production from the first half of the season. You know, when he was averaging 17+, routinely taking guys to school and had folks talking about him possibly having first round draft pick potential. I'm not talking about him turning into Carmelo Anthony.

Some of you may jump on me because of this....but I'm beginning to lean heavily towards Franklin over Wilson.
Some say Wilson is injured, but for the last couple of months - it has been all negative news.
Franklin is rising in the top 100, while Wilson is dropping

It's not a Franklin vs. Wilson scenario, it's Franklin vs. any number of wings from the class of 2010. These to recruitments are mutually exclusive.

Man, I rarely get into these things, but to talk about Morgan, who in only two seasons has been highly productive while battling inconsistency, as though he is a bust is rather ridiculous.
What about reasonable expectations? Everyone doesn't come out their freshman year and do 20-10 every night.

For what its worth I wasn't saying Morgan was a bust. I was saying that Franklin sounds a lot like Morgan in his skill set (rebounding, toughness, deadly midrange jumper and working on his longer range) Thats what I meant by he sounds a lot like Morgan. Nice thing is I love having a morgan type player on the floor, someone where the defense doesn't really know what he'll do (drive to the hoop, pull up from mid range or step out for 3) plus the aggressive rebounding from a wing is always a plus.
With these guys coming in next year it will be Morgans senior year. So bringing in Morgan 2.0 would be great timing to bring in his replacement. Let him learn a bit from Morgan (what to do and not to do)

Says who? Nobody knows how Jamil would perceive a Franklin committment.

Read on Rival's boards that Franklin will NOT commit to MSU.
Of course - this is simply 1 person claiming to have a "source" but he went on to say:
Franklin now has offers from UCLA and Kansas (I think it was Kansas) as well as an official offer from MSU.
Also states that the 2 choices are down to Oklahoma and Okie State......
not sure how accurate this is.... just a rumor perhaps

I believe it was more like OSU & OU had the edge (due to distance primarily).

I'm calling BS ON EVERYTHING. BS on anything negative about Morgan. He's been tremendous for a frosh-soph. Do I expect him to be a beast, improve mentally and as a player, yes. Does he have weaknesses to improve? Yes as well. So should ALL underclassmen.
Calling BS on Franklin eliminating MSU. Situation is just too perfect and he really likes MSU. Too much to eliminate them.

Don't shoot the messenger.... just relaying the information.
Dont know who the guy was... but the other responses he got seemed to imply that he had been correct before or at least had some previous "credibility"
Edit: He also mentioned that UCLA had indeed offered, and that UConn was getting real serious (not Kansas as I had previously stated).

I'm not questioning the report, per se, but it does seem odd that Franklin would be discussing taking numerous visits, keeping MSU in a top three, and waiting until October, but then suddenly be at only two schools.
It's possible someone picked up a rumor from something Franklin said. Sometimes I have to remember that these are teenage student athletes. He could be thinking OSU or OU right now and talking to friends and family, but then take a visit and end up at Arizona.
Though I wouldn't put him in G&W, it seems like his decision has a long way to go.
As great as he sounds, missing out on him leaves room for Zeigler, Byrd, or someone else. Wouldn't be a disaster.

I really think Zeigler is all but out of the question. Izzo might pull it off and if he does it will be one of his best recruiting jobs ever. Really think this kid either plays for dad or is headed to UCLA

What does the Scout article say?
I'm a rivals member, not scout, so all I can see is that he eliminated Indiana and is down to 4.
please provide some details

I'm guessing Arizona, Ok State, and UCLA are three...not sure about the 4th (Oklahoma maybe?). Guess this isn't surprising, if he didn't have an MSU offer by now it was probably never going to come.
Guessing the staff like the '10 options a little better.
