I wonder how much of it for MSU was Byrd vs. Franklin. I hope we're making the correct call.

Roger Franklin is focusing on four schools as he prepares to set up his official visits, and Indiana is no longer one of them...

He added UCLA as they came calling. Rivals had him going to all 5 at one point but maybe that's not the case now...

- ESPNU 100 wing Roger Franklin narrows list (Sep2) ESPNU 100 wing forward Roger Franklin spoke with ESPN affiliate Wildcat Sports Report over the weekend and has narrowed his list of schools down to five. The 6-foot-5 scorer will choose among Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Arizona, UCLA and Michigan State.
Franklin explained his decision.
"It really came down to the coaches, what type of program it was, and what kind of atmosphere I would be facing with each of those programs," Franklin told WSR. " I picked those top five schools because they're showing the most interest and it's really going to come down to the official visits and what they bring to the table when they visit me as well."
Franklin has no favorite right now and will take all five official visits before he makes a decision during the November signing period.

If he's basing his decision on the official visits, I like / chances to reel this kid in!

Interesting pick but I wish him all the best.
Wonder what that does with the recruiting? If it's true that Izzo has cooled on Wilson (and I'm not saying that is true at all, just speculating), does that mean we are done and will hold the rest for 10.
Could be interesting if so but I'm guessing that Izzo is still high on Wilson.
GO GREEN!

Absolutely no news that Izzo is cooling on Wilson, only pessimistic posters saying that because there is no news. Izzo has NEVER cooled his recruiting of Wilson.

With Franklin out, it seems like we could be short on WF/SF-type guys, unless we do get Wilson. Everyone is either better suited for SG or a true big. Roe and Green are both 4's. We need more Raymar-size guys.

Draymond is more of a WF than a true 4, at least offensively.

And therein lies the key: you are what you can defend. And Draymond can't defend B10 WFs.

not true. the nice thing about draymond is he can be used as a 4 when teams go to a small lineup. im pretty sure he can defend Krabbenhoft or Landry
