From what I heard Roe and Lucious won't be playing in the league due to injuries. Roe(as we all know) is coming off an injury and they probably don't want to risk it. Lucious had surgery recently so his is out of commision right now.

As far as the schedule for the second weekend, I suspect it is incorrect as it exactly the same as the first weekend.

Summers has exploded in 2 games earlier this summer, went off for 40+ both games. I don't think Kalin and Chris have played.

I went two weekends ago and Draymond Green, Travis Walton, Ramar, and Chris Allen all played. Korie Lucious was there, shooting on the side. Ramar looked huge to me. He didn't take the game very seriously but he has been hitting the weight room. He also threw down a sweet windmill dunk on the break and could score pretty much when he wanted to. Travis looked good, jump shoot was falling, and he played like it was the national championship game. I love his heart.

I could only stay for the first half of the Chris Allen game but his shot was not falling in that game. He did have a good matchup with Derrick Nelson who plays at Oakland and is being mentioned as a possible player of year in that conference.

Draymond did not look very good. He really couldn't do much against the Kalamazoo College big guys. It looks like he is a pretty good passer, but it also looks like he hasn't missed a meal in awhile. As I have stated before, once Izzo gets a hold of him he will get it.

Hope to make it over there this weekend.

I went over and saw the games again this weekend, this time it was the playoffs. I know I was down on him last time, but Draymond looked much better. He had a lot of energy, was in on a lot of rebounds, and handled a match up with D. Wiley pretty well. Draymond, Ramar, and T. Walton lost in the semi's against Thomas Kelley, D Wiley and a few guys from OU. TK must have had about 40, he just kind of took over the last 9 minutes.

Durrell Summers also looked great. He was using his step back jumper really well and his ball handling looks to be much improved. I am pumped for football season but I also can't wait to see how good our hoops team can be.

Finally, saw Korie Luscius there and he said his shoulder will be fine and he will be ready to go this fall.

I watched the semi-final games on Sunday, but I had a different impression of Draymond. I thought he looked really soft out there. I thought that D Wiley abused him, as Kelly did Walton in the second half also. Draymond is much too comfortable on the perimeter.

I do agree with your assessment of Summers. He is going to push Izzo hard for playing time. I think a starting line up of Lucas, Allen, Summers, Morgan, Suton looks even more realistic now. I can also envision us sometimes going to a big line up of Allen, Summers, Morgan, Roe/Gray, and Suton.

Yikes, who handles the ball in this lineup?

Allen played a lot of point his senior year and with both his and Summers handle supposedly being much improved over the summer the guards would be set.

I have to tell you, Draymond looked night and day better on Saturday and Sunday than he did a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago we walked out of the gym wondering how he got a D1 offer. On Sunday, he did hang outside too often but Izzo won't have any of that. That league is clear out and go one on one. NOt exactly his strength.

TK was unreal, but a lot of his points came when D Wiley or Ferguson set a high screen, the defense switched, and then TK would take Draymond, Ramar or one of the other guys to the hole. I wish TK could have played a little bit like that when he was in a Spartan uniform

TK battled injuries

Just when he was on a roll at MSU an injury would set him back.

D Wiley is one of my all time favorite spartan ballers- he was fun to watch because his jumper was so consistant from the around the free throw line. I wish we could have had him for all 4 years.
