Did you also notice that the #1 ranked player still lists MSU in his top 4? Jeremy Tyler sure would look good in G&W.

Does anyone think it is odd that we having been catching interest from some of the SoCal players?
I mean... im all about having one of the best players in the country interested in playing for our school...but has Izzo been hangin in Cali to talk to these kids? mark Montgomery?
No offense to the state of Michigan at all... but for Jeremy Tyler:
UCLA
USC
Arizona
All 3 schools are close to him, very nice weather all year round, etc.
Then you have MSU - which gets at least a foot of snow every winter... this guy has probably never even seen snow

Ok... going through the list in the first post... not a SINGLE one of those 4 recruits is showing MSU as an interest.
Obviously I know they have interest from other links on this forum, but why would Rivals be so off?
There are also plenty of recruits available of much higher caliber... I know this wont end up being the final list of rankings... but how come we arent going for some of the more premiere guards.... such as the few guards clustered between spots 20-30 - there are 3 or 4 of them in there who are all 6'5" or higher.
Not to question Izzo - but really, how good is Byrd?

Because Rivals and Scout are like Pepsi and Coke. Coke is the $#!! and Pepsi is only bearable when there's no Coke around. Rivals (relatively speaking) just isn't a high caliber service in regards to high school hoops. That and the offer lists on most services are rarely accurate and up to date.

Oh, don't worry...now that the rankings are out on Rivals, Izzo will start looking at them and finding the higher ranked guys. Izzo always holds off on his assessment of players until Jerry Meyer and Justin Young make theirs, and then Izzo goes after who they tell him to.

Jeremy Tyler's father is a Lansing native who happened to grow up next door to some guy named Earvin. That said, he's on the record that while he likes MSU, he isn't really considering us because everything he could get at MSU, he can get at UCLA. I'm still holding out hope that his father decides to move back to Lansing, thus making MSU the home team.

Meybe we could ask Magic to help us out and call Tyler's father. Would Magic do that for MSU?

Good enough to have multiple high-major offers this early in the process.

Allen has family in Lansing and spent some summer time here IIRC.
