This kid looks like he is gonna blow up.
Amir Williams - Basketball Recruiting

How else was the talented 6-10 sophomore supposed to break into the Country Day lineup?
Williams got his chance to start Tuesday, and I don't want to say he was spectacular, but, well, he had 17 points, 14 rebounds and three blocked shots in a surprisingly easy 87-50 victory over visiting Belleville.

I confess, unless someone makes leaps and bounds this summer, I am part of team Appling, Byrd, and Zeigler in 2010.

As long as Sherman and Nix aren't anything even close to projects, I'm fine with taking Ziegler instead of a post in 2010. The question marks in 2010 are Lucas and Roe. Will they both still be around? I think the chances of Roe are better than 50% (and that would make passing on a post in this class a lot easier because Roe will likely be receiving at least 30 mpg as a junior)...but Lucas is an extreme longshot. I'd be shocked if he's still around in '10. I would say only an injury could result in him sticking around till his senior season.
This would be the roster...
2010
| Russell Byrd
| Kalin Lucas??
| Tom Herzog
| Keith Appling
| Durrell Summers
| Delvon Roe??
| Chris Allen
| Korie Lucious
| Derrick Nix
| Jamil Wilson
| Garrick Sherman
| Draymond Green
| Trey Ziegler
|
| Austin Thornton
| Dion Sims

Zeigler to MSU is not going to happen. Sykes or another 2010 in that situation, maybe. Trey is going to play for his dad or UCLA.

UCLA is out of the mix (no schollies and no interest to boot), so if the kid wants any chance at team success in college and cares at all about getting to the Association, it'd be in his best interest to take the hour drive south from MP to EL. And no coach (on any level) would object to having his son play for . I still think he ends up at CMU (can you really say no to dad when you might be the last chance for him to save his job?) but the blurb from that article posted in his thread about the MSU players yelling to him on their way off the court in AA makes it quite evident that we're still very much recruiting him....

This kid may be the exact big, physical presence Izzo likes. Seems like a good prospect to be a Spartan.

FWIW, ESPN is expanding their 25 to 60 for 2011.
College Basketball Recruiting - ESPNU 100 - ESPN
Amir Williams is #17
Carlton Brundidge is #42
No Zach Price.
Anyone else a player of interest for MSU?

I'm sorry; I wasn't clear. I know we're interested in guys like PLP, Henton, etc. I'm under the impression PLP is priority No. 1 in 2011.
I was wondering if any other of the ESPN Top 60 are players we currently have interest in. Williams and Brundidge were the only two I caught.

Patrick Lucas-Perry (Flint Powers), 5-11 guard, class of 2011: Lucas-Perry, the starting point guard for the U-16 Legion squad, is coached by his father, Laval Perry and former University of Michigan star and NBA big man Tim McCormick. Patrick is more advanced as a pure position player at this stage than his brother, University of Michigan guard Laval Lucas-Perry. Patrick is visibly stronger now than he was during the season, pushes the ball well and is as good as anyone in the state from mid-range.

great, like that guy doesn't try to influence kids to scUM. I still remember the bs coming out of his mouth when Dane Fife was being recruited. Cant stand that guy.

Idk if he was a kid we where looking at for 11' but a new article says he is moving to Kentucky.
Behanan headed to Kentucky
Posted by Kurt Stubbs on Jun 05, 2009 at 11:10 am
It is almost official, Cincinnati Aiken’s Chane Behanon is on his way to Bowling Green High School in Kentucky to play for D.J. Sherrill’s Purples.
BG made the Sweet 16 in Kentucky last season before losing to Lexington Catholic, 70-62. The Purples finished 28-8.
Bowling Green has a strong unit returning featuring 13-of-17 players remaining from last year’s roster. Behanon would team with 6-foot-3 senior guard D.J. Hall to lead a solid Purples outfit.
Behanon’s mom is apparently making the move to Bowling Green and Chane will be entertaining the move as well.
Behanon, who is thought by many as the top player in Ohio’s Class of 2011, is committed to play for the University of Cincinnati. The freakishly powerful Behanon leads one of the best 16-and-under AAU teams in the country in the Ohio Basketball Club.
The 6-foot-7 Behanon along with Bowling Green signee Darren Goodson led Aiken to the Division I regional this past winter.
The move has to make one speculate whether John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats now become a factor in the Chane Behanon lottery.

I'm not asking for any premium information, but can anyone who does have premium access on SpartanMag reveal who Bell is referring to in this post that I noticed when browsing the thread titles?
http://www.michiganstate.rivals.com/...id=951&style=2
Again, all I want is a name, if possible. I wish Bell would post this stuff on his own board, but I digress.

I hate to play the doctor card, but...
You can predict much about final height using the parental height and when they went thru puberty. You can also get a bone age to confirm if the growth plates are open and the child can has more room for growth.
Then again, I doubt that the physcian is posting patient information on message boards...HIPPA and all....

I'm guessing his point is that idiots on here CAN'T POSSIBLY KNOW if a kid is done growing or how much his potential for growth is because that's a medical issue/determination that only DOCTORS who ACTUALLY TREAT a particular patient could possibly know. And yet, the knowitall donkies feel the need to continue to say that he's gonna grow another [insert any amount of inches you want] before he gets to college.
It's laughable and stupid.
