Plus, the Illini will get into the tournament way before UM will. No way Marcus wants to sit home and watch is oldest brother playing in the NCAA tournament at the end of the Big Ten season.

While it’s been rumored that Jordan might end up at Illinois like his brother Jeff, a sophomore guard, the younger Jordan has no intention of following his older brother.
“No, Illinois is not in the mix,” Jordan said. “I want to go to my own school and create my own thing. I don’t want to go to Jeff’s school.

There was a recent article in Rival's stating most of the same facts.....

basically that Jordan wasn't getting too much attention, but that he may crack the Rival's150 when it is updated again.

Well...he isn't going to State.

He wants to go somewhere that he can play right away, good luck with that Jordan. I had a co-worker read the article and we both agreed that he comes off as having a feeling that he deserves something...not always the best mix for a freshman. If you ask me, a coach takes a risk on him just for the pub of it all.

Granted he is a D-I player I am sure, but nothing I have read about him leads me to believe he can play right away at not only State, but most Big 10 schools.

Is Izzo truly interested? Or does the kid just like MSU a lot and thinks that Izzo answering his dad's phone calls out of respect means that he has a legit shot...because I don't see it.

I think he should go to Davidson. Davidson would love the pub, he probably could play pretty early, and he'd get a great education - so he could make something of himself rather than just live off his dad, cause I don't think it'll be in the NBA.

Also important to note from that article is that he wants a basketball scholarship. I don't think Izzo has one for him when there are better players on the target list.

Is basketball the same as football, where only scholarship players get a seat at the 'training table'? That could be a good reason why a very wealthy Jordan may want to have a scholarship.
