The class is done and (barring any departures to the pros, *cough* Kalin) the roster is set.
2010 | Adreian Payne | Kalin Lucas | Tom Herzog | Keith Appling | Durrell Summers | Delvon Roe | Chris Allen | Korie Lucious | Derrick Nix | Alex Gauna | Garrick Sherman | Draymond Green | Russell Byrd | | Austin Thornton | Dion Sims |

I had a feeling after going to the Izzone open practice...Izzo kept emphasizing recruits perspective on the program...I think he is going after the REAL big fish now when it comes to recruits...I have a feeling Adreian is the first of a string up coming...

Wasn't too sure where to post this question, but this seems the most appropriate place. If a player redshirts, does he still count towards the 13 scholarship limit for that season? The specific example my friend and I were talking about was regarding next year. If no one leaves early, and assuming Kebler loses his scholarship, if Gauna were to redshirt, would Thornton keep his scholarship, or will he lose it as well?

Redshirts count
All scholarship players count towards 13 even if they are being redshirted.

LSJ Blogs: Hey, Joe: MSU hoops preview 09-10 (scroll down)
All the four verbals have signed and Izzo offers comments on them. Says he's not necessarily done and that there's another player he's recruiting. Can't mention him by name but it's clearly Zeigler.

I hope this will shut people up that there is no way Zeigler can come to MSU. He is a top quality talent on the wing, that along with Appling and Byrd, could ease the transition from Lucas, Summers, Allen to Kearney and company. He is also a good young man with character, and if Izzo thinks he should still recruit him, then Izzo is smarter than you me and every other post on this board, and obviously is privy to information that you and I are not. So let us all wait until spring when Trey decides to announce his decision and stop arguiing over that issue. THANK YOU!!!

Hmm, I don't think that's a very fair hearing to what people have been saying, at least me. Most people weren't saying there's "no way" Zeigler comes to MSU. It merely depends on a lot of things working out a certain way, dominos that haven't fallen into place yet.
If you listen to Izzo's press conference, I actually think it backs up what most people have said:
1. Izzo will continue to recruit Zeigler.
2. "It depends what happens with a lot of things" - Izzo
3. He could add "one more" but it probably won't be early.

He handles players from all over the country and "helps" them select their college.
