*Former Michigan Fab Five star Juwan Howard has a son (also named Juwan) who is a solid player for the Michigan Mustangs. Looked to be about 6-5, pretty thin senior to be. His teammate is the younger brother of former Florida star Al Horford, Jon Horford. He definitely looked like a player -- and the Gators were all over him. He's about 6-9, but thinner than his older brother.

On to more relevant topics such as recruiting..... There's another intriguing name, though, you should pay attention to: Grand Ledge's Jon Horford, the brother of NBAer Al Horford. The younger Horford wanted to go to Michigan State. MSU, though, is out of scholarships after landing five-star big man Adreian Payne out of Dayton, Ohio. Horford, from what I understand, wants to play early and play close to home. WMU could be a fit and the relationship here is more than speculation.

then he should have committed he's had a scholarship offer for a long ass time now. Good luck wherever he goes though sounds like he'll be a good player.

I know that Scout showed an offer for him for a while now, but sometimes I think they post bad info.

Pretty sure the spartanmag guys have stated several times that Horford had the offer months ago so I'd wager that Scout has that one right.

MSU has offers out to many more players than they have spots for. It's a wish-list of sorts, with Plan A/Plan B/Plan C in mind. They'll accept their commitment, after other players higher on the list have been offered, i.e. if Payne didn't pick MSU.

So we offer but tell player B that we will only accept a commitment if player A says no?

No not necessarily. TI has his wish list of commits with what would be ideal from A to C, but its first come first serve I would believe.

Wouldn't Plan A, B, C be the order in which they roll out offers?

I mean isn't his brother a millionaire? If he wants to go to MSU he can just walk-on I imagine.

He can go to school but may not necessarily be eligible to play hoops.

I thought I read that players on scholarship get better benefits than those not on scholarship.
