What are the chances we get this guy? I know thats a difficult question to ask early on in the recruiting. But Price (along with Lucas-perry, Kearny, and Gibson) recieved an early offer from Izzo, who the St. Ed's coach is somewhat familiar with. To be honest he is probably the one recruit I really want for 2011 along with a SF type guy (maybe Kearny?) that will be a hard working post player that Izzo can mold into a banger. Any info would be great.

Chances are high. St. Eds has never been any sort of OSU feeder school, so we're not really up against a home team. Further, his AAU coach happens to be Delvon's father.

Louisville fans don't forget about Zach Price when chatting up top 2011 targets for the Cardinals. The 6-foot-10, 210-pound center from St. Edward (Ohio) is high on the U of L radar and from all reports has been playing solid the past few weeks. He's in Orlando, Fla., now and has a lot of college interest.

Zach Price commits to Louisville

That is a bummer. He will be a great player.

what the hell happened here? I know his thread on here hasn't been updated in a while. It seems like this came out of no where. Last I had heard we were high on him and visa versa

He did like MSU, a lot, but Louisville charmed him away. He really liked his first unofficial visit there and decided to take a second unofficial. This time there were other top recruits there with him, and he committed on the spot. It sounds like he was a little star-struck and committed a little quickly after a good weekend, mentioning that him plus the other recruits could make the top recruiting class. It was a fast decision for sure. He is also concerned with getting to the NBA and he was sold on the tale that Pitino knew more about this process than other coaches.

Pitino is slick and knows what he is doing, no question about it. He wrapped up the verbal when he could.

It would have been really nice to get Price back to MSU and get the last word. Maybe remind him of the total domination of MSU over Louisville in the tournament. Maybe have Delvon's dad get in his ear. Maybe remind his mother about Pitino's morals.

If MSU lands a big in the current class, or Amir, it might not matter. But Price was a great prospect.
