An offer may be forthcoming and WOTS is that he'd accept on the spot:
Scout.com: St8...Is PLP really on the same level as Brundidge &

Great prospect to lock up early if we can before he blows up in the next year or so....pure point guard....with at least 4 schollies in 2011 this would be a great start....

Has anyone seen Brundige (sic?) from Southfield play? Same class, same position...I wonder how they stack up.
I've seen PLP play in the finals & semis the last 2 years, and he's been pretty impressive for an underclassman. If feels he's worth an offer, that's all I need to know. I would have some questions based on what I've seen (scoring ability, size, quickness @ D1 level) - but he's young, and will be extremely experienced by the time he's in college.
It would be a bit of a surprise at this point, IMO

goes to the High School that I graduated from so I've seen him play probably 10 times. I'm seriously not impressed with his play. For the amount of shots he takes a game he should be putting up more points a game. He is very small and would get eaten alive in the Big 10. We won't offer this guy.
Ok, he's a sophomore, was the best player on the team who won the class B state title(they beat DCD, with 5 or 6 D1 prospects on on the semi's)...is about to blow up this summer on the AAU circuit and has got a bloodline that speaks for itself...its not about if we offer, its about when we offer...

We will find out sooner or later, but I will say at this point theres a good chance he gets an MSU offer..and Shane Moreland is no where near the prospect this kid is and will not come close to an offer...O'Brien may very well end up being a very good prospect as well and could very well get an MSU offer too...

O'Brien
O'Brien is nowhere near recieving an msu offer nor will he ever. He is a 6'3 forward, which isn't going to cut it in the Big Ten. Granted i think he is a great high school player and will play college ball somewhere but not in the big ten. That statement was very inaccurate...

Sorry but he was not the best player on the team. Shane Moreland and Patrick O'Brien are both better than Lucas Perry. I could score 12 points a game if i took 20 shots too. The kid is too small both height and strength wise.[/QUOTE]

O'Brien will never get a MSU offer for basketball. Granted, he is an outstanding high school basketball player, and his basketball IQ is off the charts. However, he is WAY too small to play major college hoops. He has a guards height, mixed with a 4 man's game. It just wont happen. However, I would take him in a New York second on a high school team. Kid is a player, but not at the next level at 6'2ish......Doesn't have the height to be in the post, nor the ball skills to play anywhere on the perimeter at D1. I think his best option for D1 might be football.
Regarding PLP, he has tremendous upside. Still growing, and great bloodlines. Starting at PG for a premier team in the state, that also plays in a very good conference, meaning he is going against solid competition every game. Never seen Brundidge, but his league is nowhere near the caliber of PLP's. PLP will fill out, just like his brother did. If MSU thinks that highly of him, he is legit.

I see him as a possible D2 swingman. Somebody will take a chance on him. I was not aware that he was also a good football player. What position and how good is he?

I think he is definitely good enough (O'Brien) to play D2. I want to say he played QB this past year or something crazy like that. I heard that from some of the parents at a game I was at. They say he was easily the best player they had, no matter what position he was played at. I look at him and it is easy to see a LB or a S. Kid is solid.....
***EDIT*** He is in the Scout database as a TE

Does it matter who started it? Fact is, St8 has a lot of pertinent stuff in that thread.

This is a joke of a thread. This kid is probably not going to get any D1 offers, let alone big ten.

Thank you Nals..... You are exactly right. There is no way this kid is getting D1 offers. I could care less if he is a sophmore. He is not going to grow enough in 2 years to make a difference. Seriously people get real.

I know for a fact PL-P has 3 D-1 scholarship offers; South Florida, Oakland University and Ohio University. In fact he is the only player on the Powers team with D-1 offers and just a soph. Just this past weekend PL-P lead his team in the Mustang AAU 16 yrs. Basketball tournament at Oakland U, Team Legion coached by Tim McCormik, to an undefeated Championship! He scored 26 pts and 11 assist in the championship and was the MVP defeating Derick Rose's Chicago Express team.

If there is a question about Patrick Lucas-Perry, PL-P, being legit he has scored big in every BIG game Powers has played in! 29 pts vs Detroit Country Day, 26 pts in the finals vs Zeeland, averaging 20pts per game during the playoffs. He's the same size as Corey Lucas. They may be related. I have seen this kid on several occasions and he can score, defend and and flat out play! His basketball IQ seems to be quite high which puts him in the upper class of point guards! He is a good fit and will get an offer from MSU, eventually.

I would say that considering the height of others in his family that he has real potential for additional growth.
