A lot of the butter was used during cooking.

Everything in the sandwich, with the exception of some of the veggies, cheese, and condiments was fried; either pan-fried in gratuitous amounts of butter, bacon fat, and garlic salt, or plunged into a deep fat fryer. Mostly both.

Here it is (pound of bacon and half pound of butter)

Did your heart hurt after eating it? I mean, that is only like 15 times your daily allowance of calories, and all...

The sandwich was actually freaking awesome! It took me about 15 hours to eat but I did it.

Sadly, camera died when I was half way through. I was in no state to move to get more batteries, so it lives on only in our memories.

hey, i'm not a spartan (proud to be a wolverine), but i've dated one for 2 years, and i live with him, so i guess that's close enough. . .
anyhow, i just wanted to say that while that sandwich is pretty amazing and disgusting at the same time, the 50 grams of oregano listed don't contain anywhere near the 400 some odd calories stated; so i'm afraid the sandwich falls a bit shy of the 3,000 calorie mark. . .nice work anyhow though.
p.s. go blue!

We all know you're a fat ****.

Its not funny when you try to make fun of yourself as if you're someone else.

If i had said "What, did you have hondo over?" that would have been funny.

or

"Hondo must have stolen somebody's pink sheets, and made it into a shirt, cause that ****er is huge."

But not you're new self-deprecation schtick.

Good looking sandwich.

You could have kicked it up a notch and served it Monti-Christo style (Batter Dipped, deep fried, sprinkled with powdered suger)
