so now dell is trying to figure out how to get the puter back to me. it's an effing circus.

eff dell

effing buttholes.

i'm never dealing with those effers again
an update for those who care...

nearly a month later my computer is still missing. i have chatted, emailed, and called dell approximately 3 times a week attempting to resolve this issue. only last friday was i able to accomplish this feat. luck would have it that i ended up talking to the same rep (in utah) whom i talked with 3 weeks ago. he was shocked and escalated my case immediately.

in a matter of 15 minutes dell decided to forget about my puter and have a replacement sent to me. the problem is they no longer make the inspiron 5150. so i'm getting a new puter, which the guy said is a "significant upgrade". thing is, i have no clue what they are sending me. "the escalation team will decide that" says the dell rep.

yeah that makes me a little happy.

it's a good thing i kept my hard drive. now i get to purchase an external hd enclosure and spend a day or 2 locating and transferring files.

So to switch from a PC to a mac a person needs buy Mac office and all other software they want to run. Ok, so instead a person decides to install Widows XP with the Mac OS so that they need to by a complete version of XP. Macs cost more in the short run. In the long term they can be cheaper because they tend to be more stable and last longer. Lastly, a computer only becomes obsolete once it can no longer perform the functions you need it to. I know people with an old school pentium 2 and 6 gig hard-drive that is not obsolete for web browsing and running M$ office.

Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about.

It's all about the hardware. Video card, processor, RAM , etc, etc....

Playing madden on a crappy computer = crappy graphics.

Computer graphics are the best out there. The problem is that there is no computer you can put together for $400 to get the gaming performance you can out of a 360.
