does the bastard criticize players for leaving college early for the pros? so why is $aban any different for chasing the $$$?

it's hard to argue a guy like $aban is a loser. he didn't do so well at his last job, but he's won just about everywhere else he's been.

I'm as successful at my job as he is at his. I've got 30 IQ points on him (at least ). I've never broken a legally-binding contract. I don't lie 10,000 times a day. And I don't quit like a b++ch the second things start to get tough.

I posted on rivals the week after JLS was fired that Nick was unhappy with Miami and was looking to get back into the college ranks. Nick was very interested in the UNC job back in November but UNC locked on to Davis and Nick had no bargaining power. Terry wanted Nick to get the UNC job ala their vacation home in NE Ga. near the Highlands area. Jimmy Sexton has been working bama all of December despite his denials to the contrary. Sexton is now the premier Coaches agent in the country with a stable full of the top college and nfl coaches as clients. It was Jimmy's goal to make Saban the top paid coach in the country and he has succeeded.

Terry's dislike for Miami played a big part and fueled the fire for Nick's and Jimmy's motivation to get this done.

Bob Griese was just interviewed on espn radio....his explanation is that Wayne H. is a very hard guy to say no to and that Nick never wanted to leave LSU but Wayne kept coming after him, was very convincing, and that he, Wayne, had an answer for every objection Nick raised to taking the Miami job. He believes that when they (Wayne, Nick and Terry) met this am, Nick offered to stay if Wayne really wanted him to stay, but that Wayne told him that "if his heart wasn't in it, he should take the bama job".

Some of this is obviouosy educted speculation on Griese's part, but it makes a lot of sense.

Oh yeah. Poor $aban never wanted to leave LSU but that evil Huizenga made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Just like Poor $aban didn't want to leave MSU and called McPherson in tears wondering if he could come back, and the old skinflint told him to shove off.

Just like now, Poor $aban really didn't want to leave the Dolphins, it was just those persistent unrelenting people from Bama who just kept shoving money at him until he simply could not refuse.

More complete bull$#$# from the $aban camp, trying to paint him as this poor innocent victim, why do these mean men keep coming at me shoving money at me, why won't they leave me alone, I'd still be happy coaching the University of Toledo for $99,000 a year if those bastards hadn't started shoving money at me.

funny ordinary passenger, but I know Dan personally, and you would not talk like that if you knew him, yet you are infatuated with a coach many, many people have had very bad personal encounters with. And Saban has not won big at two of his last three coaching gigs. And trust me, he was given a ton in Miami, and had a ton of support, and still couldn't get it done.

Every State fan knows who this snake really is. $aban only cares about #1 and will screw any program over. Miami should have known better because after all he shafted MSU and LSU. Now Bama hires this snake who shafted 3 programs. MSU, LSU, and the Miami Dolphins.

What gets me is everybody's willing to hire a weasel like Nickie-poo (I like that better than Satan or $aban ), but when he bails on them we hear nothing but screaming and crying. What, you didn't know he was going to do that?

Reminds me of the old fable about the snake who gets carried out into the middle of a river by convincing some animal he won't bite. And of course he does.

Or maybe it's more like the girl (we all know the "bad-boy lover" type) who thinks that's she's different, she'll be The One, she'll cure him, etc. And we all know how that ends!

Well, I guess Bama now has the stars in her eyes! Good luck with that!

I think everyone is also forgetting here that he left us with bobby williams right before the ****ing citrus bowl, not at the end of the season.

Maybe we all know that, and maybe we all know you got lowballed by McDickerson, but how much class does that show going out the door? That is your public reason for leaving? Why did we hire you again? Because you SAID YOU COULD RECRUIT WITH THEM!!!!

Good f'in riddance, snake boy.

I feel sorry for the Dolphins, because they fell victim to the same blasphemous bs he gave us. But I also have hope that they won't go into a ten year tailspin like we did.

Good luck Crimson Tide. You are going to need it.

What did he give a f$#$# about MSU's bowl game? He had a new job and was out of here like $#$# through a goose.

Remember also, he sent the plane back to pick up any and all assistants who wanted jobs. If it had been up to him, the whole damn staff would have left and Merritt Norvell would have had to coach the bowl game.

But that's $aban for you: "I've got mine, so F$#$# you, jack."

At least he didn't have that kind of track record when he was at MSU. Yeah, he bugged out on Toledo after only one year, but that didn't generate the alarm that his later abandoning of MSU's bowl team and his own program at LSU should have.

These Miami folks are really .

I guess they thought he wouldn't do it to THEM.

And the Tide-ers are thinking the exact same thing: He won't do that to US!

LeBatard lets loose with Salvo 2

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/16378669.htm

Mostly a rewrite, but now he rolls out Don Shula to drop the nuclear warhead on $aban.
Quote:
Angry and embarrassed, Don Shula descended from the high ground where he almost always resides, the king shamed by the slick court jester who had soiled his throne.
''He has run away from the challenge,'' Shula said of Nick Saban.
A liar?
''It's unbelievable,'' Shula said. ``There were four or five direct statements that were blatant lies. That tells you a little bit about the guy.''
Quitter?
''That's obvious,'' Shula said. ``He quit. He left.''

A raging fraud?
''What other conclusion can you draw?'' Shula said. ``The guy likes to hear himself talk and then doesn't follow up on what he says.''
I didn't notice in any of the Miami papers anyone point out that $aban's name started being bandied about as a possibility for Alabama about midway through the season, WELL before Mike Shula was actually fired.

If I were Don Shula, I'd make it my life's work, however I had to do it, to F$#$# $aban over real good one time before I die.
