Anyone else hate Adobe Acrobat Reader?
Uninstall that slow bloated piece of junk and try Foxit Reader. Very fast and not a memory hog.

I hate how if you convert a word file to adobe you have no choice over whether Adobe's program automatically starts.

A question: will foxit open/read any pdf files? I too hate adobe and would love to find an alternative. Appreciate the heads up.

My LEAST favorite thing is how when you print a .txt file to .pdf it opens it up and when you close it, it opens it up again in adobe like 5 seconds later.

I hate Acrobat Professional. There were a ton of bugs in 7.0, and a bunch of new ones in 8.0. It is not a well supported product.
Though I must say document conversions in 8.0 are sweet.

Yeah bugs happen, but it works wonders on some of the giant digital documents I need to create.

Only negative thing I've experienced so far is that there are some PDF's that will ONLY open with Acorbat.

The problem with Acrobat Professional as your reader is you are loading a whole bunch of editing capability just to read a file. I'm glad to hear about this alternative. It should be possible to change the file association for PDFs so that this tool is the default reader, and just fire up Acrobat when you need the editing features.

As far as I know it does. I know their goal is to be 100% PDF compatible and to also be VERY lean.
