Considering that many of these Cyclone homes do not have electricity or running water, I think they have done a fine job to have advanced this far in the competition.

Man, reading that thread was enjoyable. They went from pure self-congraulations to denial, to acceptance of defeat--just like one of my own threads!!

2:31pm, 63-37 with 563473 votes. Our lead is 146,503 votes.
I've had a couple people ask me how to calculate our vote lead. To calculate vote lead for future posters, using this as an example: (563473 * .63) - (563473 * .37) That's all it is. (Total vote count times larger percentage in decimals) subtracted by (total vote count times smaller percentage in decimals). It's not perfect, since they record percentages in tenths of a percent but only show them in integers, but it'll get pretty close.

For you that b**** about our football trophy traditions, look at this butte that goes to the winner of the ISU/Mizzou game!
TELEPHONE TROPHY - Issued to the winner of the Missouri-Iowa State football game ... Originated in 1959. The strangest of circumstances got this rivalry underway ... Prior to the 1959 game in Ames, a Missouri assistant coach put on his headset in the press box and got a big surprise - he could hear the Iowa State coaches chatting, since the wires were crossed and each side could hear the other ... Northwestern Bell of Ames donated the trophy, made of Alexander Graham Bell's chief invention ... Missouri won the first game, 14-0.

Re: Mascot Challenge -- ISU vs. Michigan St.
We are down 57-43 since their vote plugging drones worked overnight from China. Two million viotes can still win it. It will force them to keep voting also. If we lose, we can totally vote against them in the finals. Obviously there reputation for cherasting is exceeding that of Witchita State.
|
We have drones in China?
Guess all those study abroad programs pay off....
