And yet Arkansas will still suck as long as Huston Nutt is the coach. Sure they won some games last year, but none that counted.
The SEC is a league that has a few elite teams, such as Florida and LSU, a few that are pretty good, like Auburn, and then the rest, that pretty much suck, even though every year is supposedly "their year." The common denominator between all SEC seems though--they cheat.

Florida, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama (with Saban) are all excellent programs. More depth in that conference than any other. Kentucky and Vanderbilt aren't even push overs anymore. South Carolina is improving with Spurrier, and only Ole Miss and Miss. St. look to be clearly inferior to the rest of the league.

Give me a break. Flordia is an excellent program, with great facilities, and great recruiting. LSU has had a good decade, but is nowhere near the self running program Florida is. Auburn had a fantastic year in 2004 but has faded since and Tubberville hasn't been recruiting the type of talent to get back on top. Alabama hasn't been good for decades, period. Georgia, though competitive in the SEC and potentially very good if they played in the ACC or Big East are not Florida caliber.
The SEC is very good at one thing--pushing its own hype. The minute they get one good team, the entire conference piggybacks and tells the rest of the country how good they are. But how good are they? Look at the bowl records in the past few years. Look at a team like USC who have easily disposed of every SEC foes they have seen over the last 4 years. The SEC a very good conference top to bottom, but it is also extremely overrated, top to bottom. There is also no doubt that it is also the dirtiest conference in terms of recruiting in the entire country.

Really? Crap -- in that case, I might have to rethink my workout goals for this year ...

That training camp photo was taken in summer 2005.
The date on the second picture is May 15, 2007.
He knew he was going to be a defensive tackle and that he had to bulk up. Presumably, Arkansas trainers got him on a strength program immediately.
So, it has been almost two years- not one.
Also, his name is Malcolm Sheppard- not Malcom Shepard.
Also, if I remember correctly, Jehuu Caulcrick had a similar explosion in size.

Actually Nutt is the only reason they don't lose ten games every year, there is not much talent in Arkansas.

I agree with you. This picture was BEFORE his senior year. There are a ton of HS kids that have natural strength and lift very little or they are still growing into their bodies. This kid has had two years of Strength and Conditioning. Don't forget that most players get a weight program before they arrive on campus. This bulk could also be from Creatine or so other supliment that are legal.
Big Al gained mass when he came to MSU similarly. He never really lifted until he arrived. Let's not be too quick to judge. He could get this large with heavy lifting and suppliments. Also, your muscles expand after lifting and he has clearly just lifted.

This is Malcom Shepard one year ago:

and here is angry Malcom, transformed (his hat size increased from 7 1/4 to 7 3/4):
Think there's anything suspicious about that?

Someone should email this picture comparison to the NCAA.

Also, he looks relaxed in the first picture and flexing in the second.
And his arms are to his side in the first, but out in front on the second. So they are more noticable.
