When 2.0 comes out, I will get one immediately. Then ... maybe ... they will have crossed the line between music player and PDA. We'll see.

I did it! 105 degree and 105 miles in Death Valley in 1 day. But it's nothing compared to what my wife and daughter do daily dealing with Type 1 diabetes.
I'm riding to raise awareness, to raise $$, but, at the end of the day, I'm riding so some day someone can say to my daughter...
"Ellie, when we were kids, what was it you had again?"
...and so I ride.

*In the Year 2000!*
Steve Jobs ups the ante even more with Jesus Phone 2.0 at Apple WWDC in June. World declares cell phone technology has reached total and utter perfection. Within 3 hours, the entire board of directors at RIM and Palm admit they suck, die of successive heart attacks.

I've been having trouble with my gmail on the ole' iPhone, when not connected to wifi. Not sure if it's an ATT edge problem, or Apple's problem. Whatever it is, it's annoying.

Not getting messages or getting an error?
I haven't had an issue so I probably can't help, just curious.

iPhone is self-aware and highly intelligent. Any issues that arise are purely pranks it performs on users. Perhaps you should polish it more, or feed it more iTunes store music?

I almost bought the blackberry, then at the last minute went with the Iphone. My only complaint is the lack of voice wireless to make a call. Why did they not incorporate that feature? I used to love to simply touch my ear piece and say: "Call office." Now, I have to search for it and then touch the screen while driving. I hate that. Otherwise, I love the phone.

I had a blackberry and now a iPhone. I love the iPhone. If it was a women, I would make sweet love to it. It is great to travel with.

Here is a lineup for the first generation of the iPhone today, May 22, 2008.
All of you iPhone/Mac haters: Do you see lines like this for your Blackberry's or other 100 supposedly "iPhone killers"?

Go search eBay. I'll probably go that route, but I hate doing so.

All I see is a bunch of ****ing morons, because I can walk into about 20 stores within a 15 mile radius of my apartment and get an iPhone without waiting in line behind even 2 people.

IPhone: Free Playboy, Popular Mechanics and Other Respectable Magazines on Your iPhone (or in Safari)
Quote:
|
Usually, Zinio charges five bucks a pop for single digital issues of magazines like Men's Health, Popular Mechanics, Playboy, Penthouse and other classy rags. But on the iPhone, at least for now, you can read them from cover-to-cover for free, if you direct your browser to zinio.com/iphone. Yep, even Playboy. If you're on an actual computer, you can also change your user agent in Safari to mimic the iPhone's, and we've confirmed it'll work just as well. (BTW, the pics are desktop size, not iPhone puny.) No telling how long it'll last though, so you get your licks (or other verbs) in while you can.

HTC - Touch Phone, PDA Phone, Smartphone, Mobile Computer
HTC Diamond, coming out at about the same time for Sprint and AT&T. 3G, thinner than the 3G iphone, way smaller footprint and way less clunky, 640x480 resolution, can tether (high-speed internet for your laptop, not available on iphone), record video, 3megapixel cam, 4gb onboard flash PLUS microSD slot for as much storage as you can use, similar touch interface, and a seperate version will be out with a full slide-out keyboard keyboard at about the same time. That one will look like this (leaked low-res photo):

Guy at work was telling me theres an iphone hack that makes the iphone a wifi access point which then forwards the data over the AT&T network. Not so good now, but a 3G iphone. Sweet!

Wow, I didn't know there was going to be a slide-out version of the Diamond! This is the phone I was waiting on, to decide whether I get this or an iPhone (depending on price). If AT&T has the slide-out version...I think that's gonna do it for me.
