Youtube now provides (most of) their videos in an iphone compatible format as well as flash, so it works.

All depends on what you want as a phone.
If web browsing is the top priority, yes. It is easily the best. If it is other features, than it depends.

Ok well i bought an iphone 3g...
this may be a stupid question but.... how in the hell do you buy apps?
When i try to install an app, it requests that I type in a username and password. I tried typing in my login information that I use to login to att.com, but that didn't work...
what am i missing here?

An Apple ID. Go set up an Apple ID with the iTunes store. Then you can buy apps. Even the $0.00 ones.
Shazam is *highly* recommended.

, very impressive for recent songs. However, I haven't had much luck with songs from >10 years ago.

We sampled these two phones in the iPhone owner focus groups. They were better than expected but clearly not close to matching the iPhone.

General interface.
Menus one example of interface.
Open software linking to computer desktop.
Screen clarity.
Touch screen zoom.
Browser.
Cheesy keyboard flip.
That is what I can recall at the moment.
Music player.

I love my 3g, I hate the fact that I can't make a gdamn call via voice activation. Talk about dangerous on the road. I have to hunt for the stupid number and press it. I look like the chick next store in the red mustang texting her boyfriend.

Compare any phone web experience to the browser on your computer. Make a list of why you still prefer to use your computer. Those issues are likely almost completely addressed by iPhone. I use this even when I could easily use my computer.

My old phones had voice activation. Never bothered setting them up. Must have missed out on that.

I prefer to use my computer because the screen is bigger. My phone (Dare), like the iPhone I assume, has everything else except tabs. Does the magic iPhone project a giant image of the web page onto a wall or something?

May I suggest stopping at any apple or AT&T store to see the difference. The iPhone screen has much higher resolution and appeared to be bigger in side by side comparison.
Perhaps you should start a Dare thread to stop wondering about your decision.
