XBOX 360 or PS3???

Not for a while. Sales are doing pretty good at 299

I have a 360 and love it, but knowing what I know now, if I didn't have either console and had to choose one, I'd go PS3. There's only a couple 360 exclusives worth a damn, most notably the Halo series, but the Call of Duty games are better anyway. I personally don't have any use for blu-ray yet, but I may in the future, and the PS3 would fill that need nicely. Free online play is also nice, as it costs about $50 a year to play on XBox live. My 360 has never had any problems, but almost everyone I know has had to replace at least one.

You can't go wrong with either one, but if I had it to do over again I'd go for the $299 PS3.

The new PS3 Slim is not backwards compatible right now. I've heard rumors of them trying to include this in a later update, but those are just rumors.

PS3 has a great video library for DL and just signed a new deal with Netflix.

I don't know how Sony can add backwards compatibility since the original ones had backwards compatibility because of the hardware that was included on the original system. I've also heard some of the PS3 Slims have had overheating issues, go figure.

Once thing that hasn't been mentioned, but I think the XBox 360 controllers are much better than the PS3. The trigger buttons are much better than shoulder buttons, and the analog joysticks are placed better in my opinion.

I heard emulation, but who knows. Haven't heard about overheating. Some people don't know how to take care of their systems.
