Of course not - only on the boards where they got busted. You don't own up to something until you're backed into a corner and don't have any other way out. Duh.

Also, if he was given a chance to watch the network as part of the basic tier, there would be no probably about it!

Catch him, make him apoligize, then spam his email anyway.
Ahh, Internet justice is sweet.

i just hope they go down in flames. they're commercials look so shady, and they are so misleading. they have that lady on their commercials that acts so fake and is smiling, when all she's really doing is bashing other companies (like directv and at&t) to make comcast look better by comparison.
then they go and tell customers that it would be a 13 dollar tax added on to customers' bills if they added the BTN...when really its 13 dollars over THE ENTIRE YEAR
this whole argument they are making is so dumb. most of their money is already profit. they have FSN detroit on the basic package, at least i hope, why not BTN?

and comcast wants to be his friend and give him that channel he desperately wants. if only the BTN wouldn't make them put it on expanded basic.

Our staffer is indeed a MSU student, and did attend Commissioner Delaney’s kickoff in East Lansing. And he is a big Spartan fan. Given a chance to buy the network as part of a sports tier, he probably would!
That doesn’t excuse our failure to identify that the posting was done by our company advocating for a particular position.
Again, my apologies. Go Spartans…at least until they play my Northwestern Wildcats!

Waymire is a sleazy political operative. The good thing is, he seems to be on the losing side of any issue he works on. Googlenet him and check out the results. LOSER
Even better, for some trivial crap like this issue, not many of us will forget that his name is associated with stupidity.

David:
You have my respect for taking ownership for the post. However, that's where it ends. It is completely inappropriate to post here for commercial gain. Correct me if I am wrong, but the proprietors of the board have sponsorships for sale and I'm certain your client or your firm could have purchased one. Your note appeared to be more of a PR move than a true "mea culpa".
The tactic you used is deceitful and reprehensible. What's worse is that nowhere do you deny that you condone its use. You only say that your client did not pre-approve it. Repugnant. If you actually believe that your position put fans first (and respected their intelligence) then your form would have been forthright.

C'mon that letter is crap - next he is gonna tell us that the website that was linked to the original post was also just something that the employee put together on his own.
These guys are spin doctors and they have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar. I am not a fan of how the BTN is trying to accomplish their goal, but these type of tactics by Comcast (or their agents) are just wrong.
What they need is some of their own medicine

I don't understand the big words you used. I'm a stupid college football fan that is so far below the intelligence of "Big Dave" I'm incapable of seeing that Comcast is trying to screw their cable subscribers again.

easily understood or seen through (because of a lack of subtlety); "a transparent explanation"; "a transparent lie"
