Seriously, how the **** can Notre Dame's offense suck so much ass?

I know this has been mulled over ad nauseum on here, but it really did hit me: How the hell can an offense, any offense, be that pathetic? All you need to do to muster our pisitive yardage in CFB is to incorporate some short passes, three step drops, and a few draw plays and BAM! You have some type of draw going. I cannot understand how they have an AA tight end, a talented (albeit overrated) QB and still can't get ANY offense going. Okay, their O-Line sucks. Fine, whatever. Let the opposing defense penetrate at will but then make them pay by dumping it off to Carlson when they bring the blitz. Is it that hard? Is Weiss that stupid? Am I just really intelligent, good looking, and sexually potent?

I understand the O-Line sucks, but if you can complete maybe two short passes in a row to keep them honest. I'm not saying they would have won, but they might have scored at least a TD.

On one of the plays last week, all four of Michigan's linemen sacked Clausen at the same time. Their line is awful.

The best theory I've seen is that the weis-master thought he was coaching the Patriots again, and threw them ninety-seven different offensive schemes in camp (one for each projected starting QB), expecting them to pick 'em all up like they were learning to add and subtract. They managed to retain exactly zero of them, and now you have the mess you see in South Bend.

Just a theory.

That was completely nasty. I could not believe my frickin' eyes. Every. Single. Offensive. Lineman. Got. COMPLETELY. Beat. And given that O-line v. D-line is 5-on-4, two of them got burned by half a guy each.

Sick.

The best part of the play is that if you watch the center, as soon as the ball snaps he just lurches forward and falls on his face, not touching a single Michigan defender. One of the funniest and most pathetic things I have ever seen on the football field.

It's at 1:23 left in the video. Just watch the center.

Man, if you could score negative points in football, I'd revise my prediction to MSU 70, ND -300

on every single one of those plays, it is 2-3 seconds before he is touched... and the um D, which was pathetic and pathetically slow vs. app state and oregon, looks dead fast again nd...

Because all that the UM defenders had to do was run at the ball - the ND linemen would just move out of the way.

I know, I was looking at the size of the nd lineman, and wondering how such fat asses, as they are big lineman, not small like an app state line, could get out of the way of the guy right in front of them so fast. really amazing, when you think about it.

Unless Notre Dame DRASTICALLY improves, I can't even imagine what the USC D-Line vs. Notre Dame O-Line matchup is going to look like...

After watching that video I decided last years 'hr pufnstuff' defensive scheme would have recorded at least 5 sacks in that game.

Our gut play is essential in picking up our 2-3 first downs a game.

PA 365 X Cut. I like to run this big boy after two punishing quarters of negative rushing yards.
